Toyota C-HR with body kit from Kuhl Racing - so "kuhl" can be a hybrid. When you hear hybrid, you don't usually think about tuning, but first of all about advanced technology to reduce consumption and emissions. Unfortunately, the hybrids from Toyota often have an ecological image, which can be equated with dungarees and Birkenstock sandals. But it is also very different, as the Japanese tuning company Kuhl Racing has now shown us with its new exhibit at the Tokyo Auto Salon. So you put that Tuning from the pre-facelift also continued on the 2019/2020 model.
JDM style on the compact SUV
The Toyota C-HR is inherently not an inconspicuous car that is lost in the mass of vehicles, but this tuned hybrid from Kuhl Racing pulls out all the stops of the optical finishing. The first thing that stands out is the Airride chassis, which crouches the compact SUV deep on the ground, making it look like a sports coupe. The wide body kit also underscores the wheelhouses that are already very widely featured as standard, which makes them appear even more visually. The side skirts, which could have come directly from a modified Toyota Supra, and stamp the stamped SUV are extremely blatant. In addition, the multi-part 20-inch alloy wheels in five-spoke design underline the sporty claim of this show car, which, according to my information, has no engine tuning to offer, but would rather show which parts Kuhl Racing has to offer for a standard C-HR to get even more out of To stand out as if you were driving an untuned Toyota C-HR hybrid.
powerful rear end on the hybrid
Above all, however, at the rear, the difference to the production model is much clearer, because Tuner Kuhl has installed a monster diffuser with two centrally positioned exhaust pipes in the afterburner style, which guarantees that the Toyota attracts attention at every tuning meeting. Incidentally, the Toyota logo was also removed from the rear to put the logo of the tuning company Kuhl Racing instead, and even the camber tuning so popular in Japan was used by changing the camber of the rear tires a bit into the negative. This is currently the latest craze in Japan's tuning scene, and there are even a lot of cars that are so badly negative that they can hardly be maneuvered.
Parts are already available in Japan.
The body kit and the race parts, which make this Toyota an absolute dream car, are already available in Japan, but it is not clear whether they can be imported to Germany so easily, because, as is well known, the TÜV in Germany has to give the blessing to get a tuned one To be able to move the car on the street. In addition, importing Japan is currently relatively expensive due to the weak euro and the strong yen. Nevertheless, this Toyota is a JDM dream in red, which proves that it doesn't always have to be the supposed stars of the JDM scene that deserve all the attention, but also car models that are not tuned as often at a trade fair can draw everyone's attention.
