For the Toyota GR 86 (T2), the suspension manufacturer KW automotive has already built up a wide range of coilover suspensions for the road and regular track day use. KW is now expanding its range of products with a three-way adjustable V4 Clubsport coilover kit. The chassis, which can be separately adjusted in low-speed and high-speed compression as well as low-speed rebound, including a parts certificate, is available from 4.724 euros. The KW V4 Clubsport coilover kit, which is delivered with a Unibal top mount, is made of stainless steel, just like the other KW coilover kits available for the Toyota GR 86. While the KW V1 without adjustable dampers is offered from 1.279 euros, the KW V3, which can be adjusted in compression and rebound, costs 2.174 euros and the KW V3 Clubsport coilover kit, which can also be independently adjusted in the damper characteristics, costs 3.314 euros. As part of the parts certificate, all four KW coilover kits enable stepless lowering from 20 to 50 millimeters on the front axle and 25 to 55 millimeters on the drive axle.

In times of downsizing, turbocharged engines and vehicles with front-wheel drive, the rear-wheel drive Toyota GT86 was an affordable sporty exotic in numerous markets. The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota remains true to itself with the successor GR86. As with the GT86, Toyota uses rear-wheel drive and a high-revving four-cylinder boxer engine without turbo for the GR 86. What is new is that the boxer engine known from the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ has a displacement of 2,4 liters with an output of 235 hp and an even more rigid body. It's just a pity that according to various media reports, the Toyota GR 86 (T2) will only be built until March 2024. In Germany, the GR 86 has long since been sold out. "For us, the Toyota GT86 was one of the most successful vehicle models in the recent past," says KW Brand Manager Florian Johann. "Although according to various media reports only 86 copies of the new Toyota GR 600 will be delivered to Germany, we have four different KW coilovers with parts certificates in our delivery program."

In addition to the KW V1 coilover suspension, which can only be adjusted in terms of lowering, the suspension manufacturer also has the KW V3 coilover suspension, which can be adjusted in compression and rebound, as well as the KW V3 Clubsport and KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension from now on. The four coilovers made of stainless steel have a parts certificate. This covers stepless lowering from 20 to 50 millimeters on the front axle and an adjustment range from 25 to 55 millimeters on the rear axle. "Our coilovers differ from each other in their design and damper structure," explains Florian Johann. "While the KW V1 and the KW V3, which has adjustable damping characteristics, were primarily designed for everyday use, we address the track day community with our Clubsport suspension kits." Compared to other suspension kits in the aftermarket, the KW Clubsport coilover kits are based on motorsport proven technologies.
For example, the Toyota GR Supra GT4 is homologated for the circuit with KW Racing chassis, while Toyota Gazoo Racing relies on the Reiger Suspension off-road chassis from the KW automotive group in the FIA WRC and the Rally Dakar. "With the double-adjustable KW V3 Clubsport and triple-adjustable KW V4 Clubsport coilover kit, we not only use different spring rates for the chassis springs compared to our pure road applications.
