It's been around 10 years since Toyota and Subaru launched the first generation GR86/BRZ sports car. It was created as a cooperation between the two companies and is also known as the Scion FR-S. And now the signs are that the new GR86 and BRZ inheritance as a special model. At least on the part of Toyota. Although there is no official information yet, there are many hints from the online community. Specifically, the news comes from the New Nissan Z forum, where to put one VIN Decoder Document found that Subaru sent to the National Highway Transportation Administration. The document is obviously not from Toyota, but mentions it 2023 GR86, which is to receive two anniversary models as an edition. They call themselves well 2023 GR86 Premium 10. And it seems that there is one standard version and ES version ("Premium 10th" and "Premium 10th ES") will be released.
Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition?
Otherwise, not much is known about the anniversary models. The website motor1.com speaks of one Six-speed manual or a Six-speed automatic and the ES model will likely feature Subaru's EyeSight ADAS technology, which is currently only available on automatic transmission vehicles. One could conclude that the 2023 GR86 Premium 10th ES will only be available with an automatic. But these are all just guesses. Also, there is no significant information about mechanical upgrades, which could mean that the special editions only get visual changes. One can be curious.
