Liberty Walk has a veritable flood of project vehicles to be unveiled at next weekend's Tokyo Auto Salon 2023 (TAS). Most of these are based on exotic car brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini & Co., but a few come from mainstream manufacturers like the Nissan brand. And speaking of the Japanese based in Yokohama: The Nissan Z will soon be added to the Liberty Walk list. However, the vehicle in the pictures is not a 2023 Nissan Z, but a Toyota GR86 that Liberty Walk shared on social media a few days ago. He has one wide body, a new chassis, new rims and that was essentially it. The result looks like it's ready to traverse a winding long mountain road in drift to drive up.

The most important components that set the converted GR86 apart from the production variant are of course the bolted ones fender flares on the front and rear axle. They are the distinctive feature of most vehicles tuned by Liberty Walk. But Liberty also has a new one for the GR86 front spoiler missed, in combination with powerful side skirts and a few other attachments in connection with a seemingly completely new front apron. Another visual highlight is the bonnet with air vents, which, however, comes from the aftermarket and has a carbon look. She wears along with the adjustable rear wing, which sits on the trunk lid, contributes to the revised appearance of the Japanese sports car.

significant lowering for the Japanese

You don't have to be a pro to realize that Liberty Walk's Toyota GR86 is significantly closer to the road than the stock. It is probably an adjustable air suspension (Airride), which enables the extreme lowering. However, a coilover suspension is also conceivable. Unfortunately, further information on this is not yet available. Black LD97-alloy wheels with Liberty Walk logo and Advan tires behind which hide brake calipers painted bright white. They've been fitted with Advan tires, which should improve traction when accelerating and turning into corners.

apparently not quite finished yet

In all likelihood, the GR86 conversion is not quite finished yet, because it will probably still have the typical Liberty Walksticker preserved on the body and maybe a few Sports Seats in the interior. Because so far, most Liberty Walk projects have also included a few changes in the cabin. We will know more at the latest by the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023, which officially opens its doors on January 13th. Then we also know whether the engine was tuned for the TAS. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
