Restomod Toyota Land Cruiser V6 "Reimagined" by FJ!

The current SUV market is downright overcrowded with an incredible number of models. Choosing the right vehicle can be a real adventure. For those who are into the good old off-roaders, however, the list of possible vehicles is clear poorer. On the list, pretty high up, is Toyota's age land Cruiser. This is a climber that has been around for ages, and that can be used both on the road and in off-road use. And such an old "Landi“Is in some cases even more valuable than a new SUV these days. And that's exactly what companies like them rely on FJ Companyto keep their business going. The American tuner has been converting old Land Cruisers into individual one-offs for a few years now, and perhaps the last copy of the year 2021 is this 1976 Land Cruiser with the title "reimagined".

Land Cruiser V6 "Reimagined"

Based on a body and a chassis from FJ43 (this is the larger version of the FJ40) is the one in "Freeborn Red“Painted classics in the optically largely standard state are a real one Sleeper. And it's being sold right now. The seller is "Canepa" and he states in his ad that the FJ "is a perfect combination of performance, style and handling". And we immediately believe that.

Because under the completely restored body sits a completely new one Powertrain. In the form of a new one Toyota 4,0 liter V6 (1GR-FE, installed in the 2009 Prado or the 2007 FJ Cruiser) in combination with a 5-speed manual transmission. Also a modern one Power Steering, an electronic stability control, a traction control , and a Anti-lock braking system (ABS) are installed. In addition, there are also ultra-modern ones King shock absorbers and the contact with the ground is provided by the “Reimagined” project with a set of classic black lacquered 16 inch rims with BF Goodrich Mud Terrain off-road tires here.

the cabin is also in new condition

And of course the cabin is also in a new condition, so to speak. Although the typical retro feeling is there at first glance, there are still amenities like one Air conditioning, a special one Sound system and even a digital one instrument cluster one has built in. With small details like a robust one Hi-lift jackto Warn Zeon 8 winch and a Reserve canister the single piece is rounded off on the rear door. As already mentioned, the Land Cruiser is for sale at Canepa and has only run 2.400 km since the conversion and restoration. However, we do not know the price. He's sure to be loose six digits.
