The boys of CX-Racing have been offering conversion kits for Toyota / Scion / Lexus & Co. for some time to install the legendary 2JZ-GTE of the Supra. But what is planned now should be the absolute highlight. And one would like to bring a conversion kit for the brand new Supra MK5 (A90) to the start that will bring the legendary 2JZ-GTE back into the 2019 Supra. Means, the 340 PS & 500 Nm strong BMW B58 in-line six-cylinder with twin-scroll exhaust gas turbocharger should disappear. We're not exactly the biggest fans of the new Supra either, but the engine is actually out of the question.
B58 six-cylinder out & 2JZ in?
Performance increases far beyond the 400 PS are easily possible, one still makes about the hardware of the engine and installed king-size turbocharger, etc. should probably be synonymous + 700 PS not a real problem. So why kick out? Of course, the 2JZ engine is also available with performance enhancements in the high four-digit range, The costs and efforts that have to be taken into account but are hardly lower if you would try with the B58. In the end, probably just one thing the owners of the MKIV Supra the new to make tasty. If we get to see the first conversion with the 2JZ-GTE Supra MK5 Swap Kit in the A90 we will of course inform you.
