With the “Raize”, Toyota now has a shrunken RAV4 in its range that can optionally be equipped with all-wheel drive. And given the great demand for the RAV4, the mini version with a length of just under four meters on a Daihatsu platform could also be a success. After all, compact SUVs are more in demand than ever. And if they come across as cheeky like the Raize, nothing should go wrong. The front and profile are almost identical to the RAV4 and even the large trapezoidal radiator grille and high headlights are copied. At the rear, however, the Raize is a bit more conservative. Has Toyota lost its courage here?
TRD front spoiler with colored accents
The only highlight here is the continuous black light band as we find. Fortunately, there is still the house tuner TRD, The show now with a few colorful pictures of how the little off-roader with numerous add-ons could look like. Toyota Racing Development developed a front spoiler in matte black with color accents and matching the side skirts and the aggressive rear apron approach. Striking is the cladding for the front apron between the headlights. There are optional sporting stickers for the lower part of the doors and also the tailgate can be stuck with it. And if that's not enough, you can let your individuality run free with further details such as special paint protection foils for the door handle recesses or changes in the cabin in the form of a red starter button or modified sun visors including a TRD badge. All pictures of the TRD parts can be found in a gallery at the end of the article.
Modellista also takes on the Raize
If you don't like the look of the TRD components, you can also take a look at the Modellista repertoire. All components are also available here, just one number more aggressive. For this purpose, the tuner has created two body kits called "Elegant Ice Style" and "Advanced Blast Style" which are visually quite different from each other. Either way, the front spoiler is drawn more conspicuously compared to the variant from TRD and it shows itself with large air openings on the right and left as well as optional daytime running lights. The side skirts protrude even more and the approach for the rear apron even enables the installation of a stainless steel sports exhaust system on the puny 1,0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine. There is also an optional roof spoiler for the small Raize and various aluminum rims. And here, too, you have many small details such as a cover for the radiator grille, a panel for the tailgate and various applications for the cabin at the start. All images of the Modellista Parts can be found in a gallery at the end of the article. If we receive timely information on further changes by TRD or Modellista for the Toyota Raize there is of course an update for this report.
