What do the current VW Touareg and, for example, the BMW X5 F15 “don't” have in common? The VW is much less to be found in the tuning area - what a shame! Especially the financially affordable VW Touareg 3.0 TDI with its 204PS represents a good basis in the SUV area to be optimized. Fortunately, the team around Wimmer Rennsporttechnik has now changed that and presents us with a significantly modified 2016 VW Touareg. While the tuner especially with the sometimes crazy KTM X-Bow Vehicles on tuningblog.eu is known, he now shows that the SUV area can be equipped with Wimmer power. The main focus is certainly on the increase in performance of the 3.0 TDI, which initially boasts a powerful 240 PS and 525 Newton meters and will soon make you forget the old V310 TDI with 600 PS with up to 10PS and 313 Newton meters of torque.
More power would of course also be implemented dynamically and so there was also a set of BBS alloy wheels of type CH-R in 21-inch format and a KW coilover kit of variant 3. The Wimmer guys recently released the Touareg and we are happy about that we have some pictures for you. After the tuning cure that the Touareg was allowed to endure, it is now much more powerful and dynamic than the production version and all without any thick spoilers. Anyone who is thinking of buying a 3.0tdi Touareg in the future or who already owns one is certainly an interesting starting point for Wimmer when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model. Of course, the aluminum rims and the coilover kit also fit into other Touareg models!
