VW is known for a lot, but certainly not for Performance oriented Pick up. However, the Amarok with V6 is not a wallflower either. With the V6, it is well positioned as a competitor to the Ford Ranger, the X-Class from Mercedes or the Nissan Navara. But as an opponent one BMW X5 M50d on the British motorsport circuit Donington Park? That is also possible! At least when you help with tuning. The English tuner Darkside Developments did just that and is testing an "upgraded" VW Amarok on the racetrack.
BMW X5 M50d vs. 400 hp VW Amarok
The vehicle was apparently on 400 PS pushed, which is almost double the output of the series. It is built in Level 3 from Darkside Developments, which also have options for 300 and 350 hp. There is a tailor-made lowering set and stronger brakes to increase performance. But is that enough to annoy a BMW X5 M50d? You can see that in the following video!
