Voltwagen of America the company should be called soon. The aim is to clearly emphasize the goals of the German automaker. It seems that one would like to really “step on the gas” with electric vehicles. Allegedly the new name was published briefly on the Volkswagen USA website and then disappeared again immediately.

Maybe a (wanted) Accidentally like so many "accidental" leaks !? According to the announcement one spoke of a "public statement on the company's future investment in e-mobility". So could Volt car be positioned as a name on all of the Group's electric vehicles. However, combustion engines will continue to bear the well-known VW logo. VW wants to be the largest electric car manufacturer in the world by 2025. And a new name could certainly help.
