Inside we actually knew it, but we fell for it anyway! The E-vehicles from Volkswagen USA soon to be known as "Voltwagen" Getting out on the streets is simply a matter of course hoax! K becomes T? Never! VW becomes its brand name for electric cars from Volkswagen not change to "Voltwagen". Apparently it was an early April Fool's joke. But fell for it (us included) pretty much all of them. And that goes for the reputable business news broadcaster CNBC as well. Now there are increasing indications that it is probably a premature April Fool's joke and PR gag. When asked by t-online, a spokesman from the corporate headquarters here in Wolfsburg commented on the rumors: "That sounds like a nice idea.“There was no more information. And strangely enough, the press release from VW USA, which was online again yesterday evening, has apparently disappeared for good. We are curious to see if there will be an official statement.
Of course that had not happened yet!
