VW Bus Festival celebrates revival in 2023: Ticket sales begin on August 15

The countdown is on: In 343 days the VW Bus Festival 2023 by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) will start. It will be the largest gathering of its kind in the world: organizer VWN expects more than 100.000 visitors from all continents from June 23 to 25, 2023 to the festival in Hanover. The community of Bulli lovers will celebrate together for three days, listen to live music, talk shop and camp - a festival as an expression of a way of life. Camping tickets will start selling in just a few days: pitches can be booked from 15 August 2022, 12 noon. As was the case at the legendary VW Bus Meeting in 2007, the trade fair car parks will become a Bulli camp for more than 6.000 VW buses.

VW Bus Festival 2023

The 2007 VW Bus Festival with tens of thousands of Bulli fans is still considered the highlight of the VW Bus events. A hitherto unique event in terms of shape and size. In 2023, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will pick up exactly there. Current and historic VW bus models are equally welcome - from the T1 and all its successors to the new Multivan with plug-in hybrid drive and the all-new ID. buzz

“This coexistence of the most diverse Bulli models from all eras is the soul of the community. We are delighted that the automotive phenomenon, which is unique in this form worldwide, will once again have its very own stage in 16, 2023 years after the last festival,” says Lars Krause, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for Sales and Marketing.

Camping tickets start at 29 euros

The tickets for the VW Bus Festival 2023 can only be booked online at www.vw-bus-festival-2023.de. It starts with camping tickets from 29 euros - for the whole weekend! Included in this course is the camping space for Bulli & Co, free access to the sanitary facilities of the campsite and of course free access to the festival site with various exhibitions, parts market and a large stage with a varied program. Up to three additional people can be booked. And: If you want to book a special area for families, for example, you can do that too. In general, the following applies to participants: Children up to the age of six take part free of charge. Children and young people up to the age of 17 only pay 15 euros for the weekend.

The sale of day tickets (without vehicle) will start at a later date.

Bulli Clubs had the opportunity to register large groups directly in advance. VWN had called for this in a press release and on social media. "The response from the club community was overwhelming," explains Stefan Pfeiffer, Head of Marketing at VWN. After just a few days, the organizational team received many more inquiries than there were spaces available in the club area. If you don't get a place in the club area, you can of course take part through individual sales. "Sufficient tickets are available for the other parking areas at the start of sales," says Pfeiffer.

Parallel to the start of ticket sales, VWN is informing Bulli fans worldwide about the festival. Fans will be informed about the start of advance sales on the brand's official social media channels. The official festival stickers are very popular with Bulli drivers at classic car meetings and selected motor shows – and they are stuck directly onto their own VW bus. Photo credit: Volkswagen (VW)
