This is also the case with the latest generation. The little brother of the California is an absolute all-rounder for the young family, sport & hobby users or the so-called best-agers. In short, for everyone who appreciates being as flexible as possible with their car in order to spontaneously start a micro-adventure.

1,4 square meters of panoramic glass roof

One of the new highlights is the possibility to observe the stars through the 1,4 square meter panoramic glass roof before falling asleep. If you prefer to sleep in the dark or don't want to be woken up by the sun in the morning, you can of course darken all windows, including the glass roof. Belleville spring elements, such as those used in the beds of the California or Grand California, ensure good sleeping comfort on the almost two meter long bed. The popular and light camping chairs and the camping table from the California models are cleverly stowed in the rear. The two practical storage pockets can be taken into the apartment for loading. When attached to the vehicle, they also serve as privacy screens in the cutouts in the rear window. On the go, the new Caddy 19 offers assistance systems for comfort and safety. These include the Travel Assist; This enables assisted driving across the entire speed range for the first time in a Volkswagen commercial vehicle.

Also new in the Caddy: the Trailer Assist known from the Crafter and the T series for significantly easier reverse maneuvering with a trailer or the lane change assistant and parking assistant. The new four-cylinder engines of the Caddy are just as innovative as the assistance systems: they are units of the next evolutionary stage; they meet the Euro 6 emissions standards of 2021 and are all equipped with particle filters. Take turbodiesel (TDI), for example: For the first time, the new twindosing is used for the 55 kW / 75 hp and 90 kW / 122 hp TDI engines: nitrogen oxide emissions are reduced by two SCR catalysts and a double AdBlue injection (NOx) significantly reduced compared to the predecessor. The TDI units of the Caddy from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles are therefore among the cleanest diesel engines in the world. Likewise efficient and sustainable: a turbo gasoline engine (TSI) with 84 kW / 116 hp. The world premiere of the new compact camper will take place virtually in early September.
