We finally have certainty - the Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel TRX gets instilled over 700 PS and is the ultimate counterpart to the Ford F-150 Raptor. After the Hellcat engine has already found a place in the SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, a real HEMI engine in the pickup is now a thing of the past. The 1500 Rebel TRX also has an eight-speed automatic and a heavy-duty all-wheel drive. And that the 6,2-liter V8 Hellcat engine with supercharger also somehow 852 hp (see Dodge Demon) AND MORE can generate promises incredible tuning possibilities and also in RAM. And considering the fact that the F-150 Raptor “only” has 450 hp, one cannot speak of a “competitor” at all. It's a completely different league that has never existed before.

Although - there was something already !?

Exactly - the crazy 506 PS RAM SRT-10 (Street Racing Technology) with the 8,3-liter V10 engine from the Viper based on the third generation (2002-2009 / DR trucks). Built from 2004 to 2006, the Monster Truck once secured entry in the Guinness Book as the world's fastest series pick-up. At that time it was the most powerful expansion stage of the 3 generation and, despite having an empty weight of 2,2 tonnes, it managed to reach 5 km / h in just over 100 seconds. However, the SRT-10 was relatively rare with only 9527 units built. If you wanted one, you had to bring a little luck or just yourself Build the vehicle yourself. Has exactly that Chip Foose with C. Foose Design Inc. done in 2006 with a specimen specially built for the then SEMA Auto Show. They created a Dodge Ram SRT-10 with an 8,3-liter V10 engine from the Viper, which of course received the matching automatic transmission. The pickup has only rear-wheel drive and comes with individual Foose body graphics and the seats also have embroidered logos of the tuner.

The V10 has its say via the Borla exhaust system and there were also 26 & 24 inch multi-part aluminum on the front and rear axles. The brake system with large perforated and slotted brake discs and red painted brake calipers is also adapted to the more than 500 PS, which ensures deceleration in line with one's standing. The body was given a front spoiler with splitter and there was even a rear spoiler for up to 30 kg of downforce, which can even be removed. The cabin has built in some carbon, there was an individual leather interior with the mentioned Foose badges and a newer navigation system like the typical SRT-10 instrument cluster.
