Ok, purely from the data it is almost an "apples & pears" comparison. The new Tesla Model S P85D with 691PS / 931NM competes against the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG 4Matic S with 585 PS and 800 Nm torque. However, if you look at the V-Max of the two, the Benz can outperform the Tesla with 193km / h on the quarter mile with 185km / h. So the duel was won at the start. What speaks against the Tesla in my opinion is the possible early start and the (non-existent) sound. Imagine 2 Teslas would drive against each other here, it would be like in a silent film.
