Vigilante Jeep Grand Wagoneer Restomod with 1.000 PS!

As we all know, Jeep is launching a brand new Grand Wagoneer as model year 2022. The new generation was presented last year with a near-series concept vehicle and is to stand on a body-on-frame chassis and offer space for up to seven people. To this end, Jeep is planning to take over most of the modern look and the innumerable technical refinements from the concept car. However, if you can't wait that long, or want to wait, or perhaps just prefer the angular look of the 28-year-old predecessor, the team at Vigilante 4 × 4 the perfect alternative at the start. And a so-called Restomod. So an old car with new technology. The vehicle from the virtual images and from the video is a model whose year of construction we classify in the range from 1988 to 1992. However, we do not have any precise information.

Vigilante 4 × 4 - Jeep Grand Wagoneer

However, we know that Vigilante 4 × 4 can also convert a Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer (built in 1963) accordingly, as well all other models until the end of production in 1993. Vigilante is an American company that focuses on Jeep restorations and tuning specializes.

The Wrangler, Cherokee Chief, Honcho and all others can also be converted. And the current vehicle, presented as "Number # 0", is apparently the first completed copy for a customer. The extremely extensive Restomod project comes with a mighty one Performance upgrade, there are many visual changes but also the Cabin is apparently completely transformed. While the number # 0 with a 717 HP SRT HEMI Hellcat V8 equipped, the customer can choose from a total of three available HEMI engines with an output of 485 PS up to crazy 1.000 PS choose.

under the sheet everything is completely new

But of course there is much more to it than just a big V8 engine. The body is of course down to the last detail restauriert. And every vehicle gets a completely new one Suspension with Eibach coil springs and Fox dampers as a replacement for the old leaf springs and the chassis is no longer standard. It was newly developed, is powder-coated and reinforced everywhere to be able to digest the new performance data. And for a befitting delay, Vigilante installs one Sports brake system from Baer A new system has been installed with 6-piston brake calipers at the front and rear. The XXL panes are perforated and slotted and the system is behind larger alloy wheelswhich, however, retain the classic style from back then. They are equipped with All-terrain tires from BF Goodrich. These are on the front axle WARN freewheel hubs built in to be able to continue to rely on all-wheel drive. Basically, one can say that the classic case was placed on a completely redeveloped chassis. In other words, the entire technology has been replaced, which also applies to the cabin.

the interior is also modded ...

Unfortunately we have so far from the interior save received noteworthy pictures. It seems to have retained the look from back then, but the interior is equipped with many modern components (Steering wheel, pedals, circular displays, sound system, etc.). Incidentally, such a conversion costs $ 265.000 for the basic version and if you want the 717 PS Hellcat version under the hood, you have to pay another 15.000 US dollars more. The top model with around 1.000 hp should even have more 25.000 US Dollars costs. You can find a few more videos at the end of the post. The rest can be found on the Vigilante4x4 YouTube channel.
