Viper-Power & 24 Zöller - 1968 Dodge Charger from Johan!

What a monster! As you know, one of the absolute tuning stars from Europe is Johan Eriksson. The Swede has built three spectacular US cars in the form of a black Dodge Charger RT from 1968 (won the European Tuning Showdown in 2013), a funky compressor 1996 Viper GTSwho made it into the top 10 and the 68 Dodge Charger RT / R presented here. And the Dodge is a real highlight with which the European Tuning Showdown was won again. Even at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Johan was at Battle of the Builders attracted a lot of attention. Painted in Viking Blood Red (own mix), Johan wanted to create a real Hot Wheels toy car. In addition, there were huge, custom-machined aluminum blocks in 11 × 22 inches at the front and 15,5 × 24 inches at the rear, which are fitted with tires in the dimensions 295/30 ZR22 and 405/25 ZR24.

new mirrors and taillights

The body of the Dodge has been completely revised and shows itself with small details such as the new mirrors and rear lights. No screw was left untouched and so the wheel arches were extensively modified and widened and the roof by four centimeters chopped. In the interior, there was a completely new equipment with a lot of leather and aluminum and a central console extending to the rear. There is also a dashboard with classic round instruments and a steering wheel, the double spokes of which imitate those of the rims. It continues with four individual seats with pronounced seat bolsters and light-colored decorative stitching and even a roll cage with leather cover is included. Even an extremely extensive sound system is installed. One with DEX-P99RS head unit from Pioneer and with 21 loudspeakers in the passenger compartment "and" in the trunk as well as several amplifiers which can also be seen in the luggage compartment under a transparent pane.

5 years and approx.15.000 working hours

Viper-Power & 24 Zöller - 1968 Dodge Charger from Johan!

A good 5 years and around 15.000 hours of work went into the charger, which also explains why everything has been renewed under the sheet metal: The car stands on a modified chassis of a Corvette C6, equipped with self-made subframes, and has an AirRex Airride air suspension an impressive lowering. But the highlight is of course under the front hood. Like the tailgate, it opens automatically and shows an 8,4 liter V10 from a Dodge Viper from 2007. The engine was "forced ventilation" by means of two BorgWarner turbochargers, plus Callies connecting rods, JE pistons, LSM camshafts, Manley valve springs and T&D roller rocker arms.

over 1000 HP go to the rear wheels

The changes are combined with a MaxxECU control unit and the result is over 1.000 hp! They are delivered to the rear wheels via manual Tremec six-speed gearbox in combination with a reinforced Viper clutch, new drive shafts and shortened drive axles. A stable braking system with 8-piston calipers from the Bentley Continental GT on perforated carbon-ceramic discs at the front (420 millimeters) and at the rear is a 6-piston system from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 with 381 mm carbon Ceramic discs installed. If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
