Is this the future for campers? If so, you seriously ask yourself who needs a hotel! Reflective paint, roof and stern terrace with BBQ station, 3D printing process, infrared rays and even a pneumatic sleeping roof. Hymer has developed the vision vehicle VisionVenture with BASF on Mercedes-Benz chassis, which is set to break new ground in terms of design, self-sufficiency and lightweight construction. This is what modern camping could look like in about 5 to 6 years ago. Hymer's pioneering spirit and innovative power are combined with more than 20 innovative materials from BASF. Are these the future trends of the camping scene? Perhaps! The VisionVenture is a concept vehicle based on the Mercedes Sprinter. The camper comes with integrative front design, precise contours and harmonious transitions between the cab and the airy construction.
VisionVenture based on Mercedes Sprinter
Doors, headlights and grille are typical Mercedes but already at the front windscreen is a difference to the normal Sprinter visible. For this purpose, the A-pillar, the engine and the roof hood have been redesigned and for off-road use, the concept car is even equipped with four-wheel drive. It continues with robust wheel arch linings and some body parts were even produced in the 3D printing process. They show up with a rubbery and robust surface. The VisionVenture concept vehicle has a durable dark green paint finish. The paint has a temperature-regulating and energy-efficient Chromacool technology from BASF and ensures that the vehicle heats up well outside 20 ° C and inside good 4 ° C less. And the roof of the VisionVenture has an inflatable sleeping roof that has approximately 7 centimeter thick outer walls with honeycomb structure.

The insulation values can be optimized because the structure can be filled with warm or cold air within one minute. Inside there is ambient light and the roof can be opened to the rear so you can reach the small roof terrace. The shuttering carries a photovoltaic system which ensures a certain self-sufficiency when traveling. In cooperation with the designers of Studio SYN, a completely new floor plan with innovative solutions was created. For example, the VisionVenture comes with a fully-fledged seating group under a generous panorama window in the rear. The tailgate opens and becomes the sun terrace, including an extendable electric BBQ station. Not to be missed of course, a kitchen in the interior even brings a unique staircase that leads into the sleeping area. The staircase has LED lighting and offers plenty of storage space inside. It integrates cabinets and installed, for example, a drawer refrigerator that can be filled from above.

And the VisionVenture comes with many new types of material combinations made of high-performance plastics from BASF. These are joined by very light and natural materials, such as slate, bamboo, leather, wood and felt. The lamp in the cabin was designed for a diverse use. It is used as a pendant or patio lamp and also as ceiling spot. Furthermore, there is a practical office space with LED lighting and magnetic pin board inside which you can almost invisibly disappear into the wall. And, of course, the bathroom is also important, as it uses Veneo Slate® natural stone (thin stone layer with plastic) looks very noble. It is highly variable and compact and so can be, for example, the side wall unfold and the sink can be folded away sideways. This gives plenty of space for the large shower cabin with Rainshower function. Cool part!
