It is the driving technology spectacle from Audi - the A8 of generation D5 (internal name 4N or series code F8). Crammed to the top with the latest technology, and apart from the continuous light at the rear and the once again grown grille, it is based directly on the successful predecessors. There really is not much new, and that's a good thing. This looks completely different in the interior. Almost nothing reminds us of its predecessor. Huge touch screens, start assist, lane change assistant, blind spot assistant, parking assistant and felt more assistants than in the Chancellery make driving an absolute pleasure.

And just such a copy now had the guys from DS automobiles & auto plants on site to make a little tuning. Tuning on a luxury steamer for the top ten thousand? Definitely a good decision! The far too small rims from the factory are not really attractive and the A8 stands there on its legs. Decisions that Audi made, of course, exclusively in favor of driving comfort. And it is precisely for these homemade “problem areas” that the Swiss tuner has found an elegant solution. A subtle lowering of the factory air suspension and a set of new rims. The lowering is achieved by means of electronic intervention and for the wheelset, the decision was made to 22 inches Vossen Wheels.
Specifically, it is the type CVT that gives the A8 50TDI much more sportiness with its dynamic design. The setup is very successful and we are sure that the driving comfort has only slightly harder. This type of lowering still allows the electronic adjustment by the driver. A clear advantage over a manually adjustable coilover suspension or a lowering by sport springs etc. If we receive timely information on further changes to the A8 there is of course an update for this report.
