The Acura NSX (identical to the Honda NSX) is a rare sports car from Japan! Only built 18.000 times in total, it was officially approved only 271 times in Germany. In Hong Kong and North America, the NSX was sold as Acura NSX and the models with manual transmission instead of automatic were particularly popular worldwide. With automatic, the NSX had only 256 HP from the factory, while the hand-shifted variant got 274 HP from the three-liter V6. And the hand-torn variant also organized up to almost 8000 rpm, which the four-speed automatic did not allow. Incidentally, the Japanese specified vehicles from 1997 (NA2) with an output of 280 hp. From the factory, the NSX was on 16- / 17-inch rims and the chassis was very special.

Ayrton Senna then tuned the chassis

Ayrton Senna (Formula 1 racing driver) personally made it ready for series production on the famous Nordschleife of the Nürburgring and the Japanese race track in Suzuka. There was a technology transfer between Formula 1 and the road vehicle, which resulted in all-round independent suspension, double triangular wishbones made of aluminum and technical delicacies such as a 4-channel ABS. But especially the chassis and the wheel / tire combination ex works were the owner (@ samz370 / Instagram) a thorn in the side of this specimen. He changed both and creates a completely new look. On the one hand there is the beautiful three-piece Vossen ERA-1 forged wheel set and on the other hand a brutal lowering by means of Airlift-Performance Airride air suspension including 3P control.

18 x 9 inches & 19 x 10 inches on the NSX

When it came to the wheelset, they opted for a variant with matt black rim star and highly polished rim beds. The exact dimensions are 18 x 9 inches on the front axle and the rear axle is filled with impressive 19 x 10 inches. It goes without saying that such a wide rim does not fit easily under the filigree body of the NSX. For this reason, the wheel arches were widened in the sheet metal and, in addition, the Japanese were also given a front spoiler, large side skirts and the rear apron has been optically adapted to the modifications of the body with a new substructure. In addition, there were a few more details such as a sports exhaust system with enlarged tailpipes, darkened side markings at the front and rear, and subsequently even xenon lights were installed in the NSX.

Camber style camber

Of course, the extreme lowering with the resulting camber in the Camber-Style not everyone's taste and the chunky side skirts take some getting used to, but all in all the vehicle is quite successful as we find. Because the delicate lines of the body are still preserved. If we receive timely information about changes to the engine or the interior, there is of course an update for this report.
