Ultra cool: VW 1200 Beetle from Sidney Industries with patina paint!

A highlight for car fans is this VW 1200 from Sidney Industries. The 1965 model made the streets of California more attractive for almost 60 years and the local sun has left its mark on the Beetle's faded but still sensationally attractive paintwork. While maintaining the character of the paintwork with the original patina, the 1200 received a completely new glazing from Sidney Industries. Since the Beetle has always been more of a cruiser, the vehicle was only slightly lowered. Among other things, the CSP front axle was shortened by 3 inches (approx. 8 cm) in order to reduce the ground clearance. The roof rack provides an additional flair, but its luggage is only decoration.

Enough motor power for driving fun!

The engine, which is typically located in the rear, is of course worth a look. Here, too powerful an engine is dispensed with and, in line with its existence as a comfortable cruiser, a 1600 Type 1 engine is used (1,6-liter Type 1 boxer engine, completely revised, SIIND valve cover, etc.), which with 50 hp nevertheless offers 50 percent more power than the original engine. And since the ear also likes to ride along, the converted 1200 offers a CSP Super Competition exhaust, through which the ride is accompanied by a pleasantly rich sound.

Look at a great undercarriage!

And of course the 1200 VW cannot be on the road without optimal tires. At the front, the vehicle has dainty-looking 185/40 Yokohama tires, while the rear drive axle with 205/55 rubber catches the eye. With regard to the three-part SIIND rims by CSP (5,5×17 & 7,5×17 inches), an attractive combination of shiny stainless steel steps and anodized old-school stars was chosen. The newly installed high-quality and effective CSP disc brakes at the front and rear also ensure a high level of safety.

Attractive inventory to feel good!

The VW 1200 from Sidney Industries not only impresses with regard to power, but also the look inside gives the vehicle top marks. The traditional dashboard is complemented by seat shells from the Porsche 914. These are a real eye-catcher, not least because of the cover made of Replay Hyperflex Jeans fabric with gray side panels and attractive decorative eyelets.

For a uniform image, the design was used for the panels on the sides and on the back seat, while mats and the sky shine in a pleasant grey. The gear knob with SIIND lettering is impressive so that you can always get going in an attractive way. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
