For many, a high-roof station wagon is pretty much the last vehicle associated with tuning. But times are changing, and this type of vehicle is also finding more and more tuners who give the vehicles more power and a sportier styling. As well as Joe Baitboat Jacobs from the UK who upgraded his 2016 VW Caddy, which originally came with unpainted bumpers and steel rims, to a true Wolf in Sheep's Clothing made. We would like to present this vehicle to you today.
Express transporter for the whole family
Let's start with the exterior. The Caddy got sportier bumpers with R-style air intakes, one front splitter, subtle fender flares, which come from a Caddy Alltrack, as well as other modifications. Below that is a prominently protruding one roof spoiler, a powerful, black lacquered, diffuser at the rear and an RS exhaust system from Audi with two huge oval tailpipes.
But that's not all, because the massive Audi RS brakes behind the golden VW Vortex 19-inch wheels ensure safe deceleration in all situations. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires were fitted to the gold-finish rims, ensuring the sporty van lives up to its performance specs, which we'll get to later. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the modifications to the chassis, but we suspect that an adjustable sports chassis is installed in the car.
Many Audi components have found their way into the interior!
If you look through the side windows, it becomes clear that there are many Audi components in the cockpit. For example, a flat-bottomed RS AlcantaraSport steering wheel installed with multifunction buttons, which also has Audi rings on the impact absorber. Digital cockpit, shift paddles and the monitor for the navigation and infotainment system obviously come from an A3 or one of its sporty offshoots. There are also many carbon accents inside, automatic air conditioning and another monitor that displays additional digital instruments.
2,5 liter TFSI R5 turbo petrol engine provides power!
Under the hood of the special Caddy beats the heart of an RS3, which has also been fundamentally modified. An LMS850turbocharger, a water/Methanol injection, a custom ECU remapping (chip tuning) and various other changes ensure that the engine runs at maximum 736 PS performs. On top of that, different driving programs are configured, which release between 420 and 736 hp depending on the ECU mapping. all wheel drive is also available, so that the wolf in sheep's clothing can easily bring his power to the street. Unfortunately, we have no information on the driving performance, but the power is transmitted via a DSG gearbox.
Our conclusion:
- A crazy project vehicle that illustrates the potential of such a high-roof station wagon. Now all that's missing is a Renault Kangoo with an Alpine engine! We give it a thumbs up for that. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
Don't worry, of course that was far from being the case when it came to auto / auto tuning. Our magazine still has tens of thousands other tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all? Then just click HERE and look around. Or you can read through the following thematically appropriate vehicle reports. Another interesting vehicle is sure to be included.
