Optional highlights such as a head-up display with augmented reality (AR) or voice control will be available. And of course it will be one again GTI give. Here again a two-liter machine will be used which should make significantly more than 300 PS. But also the current MK7 in every respect is still up-to-date shows us now the team of APR Germany. In order to achieve the performance plus of 85 PS, APR installed the in-house Stage 1 engine software, a two-part air intake system made of carbon and an improved intercooler. It continues with a turbo inlet pipe made of aluminum and a sports exhaust system. The system, made entirely of stainless steel, ends in two large round tubes on the right and left and also contributes to the new performance. The result is 330 PS & 510 NM torque which ensure acceleration values well above the VW Golf R. And so that the performance can also be consistently used, changes to the chassis were of course inevitable.

Here the tuner installs a KW 2-way Clubsport coilover kit and in-house anthracite-gray five-arm alloy wheels with dynamically curved Y-spokes. The format is 8,5 × 19 inches all around and the new wheel set is equipped with Pirelli P Zero tires in the dimensions 235/35 R19. If you look through the spokes of the new wheel set, you can see an OEM performance brake system of a Golf R, which ensures improved deceleration values. The APR-Golf GTI, which is now on its way as a “Track Edition”, has also been given a design sticker based on motorsport. Black and gray decorative stripes and “Track Edition” as well as “APR” lettering and the “Start number 99” are the characteristics.
