Did you know that in addition to tuners like Rocket Bunny or Ingo Noak Tuning also the one in Westlake Village (United States) resident tuners clinched has a widebody kit in stock for the VW Golf MK5? The company published a few pictures and a video of the installation of the extreme wheel arch extensions and of course we would like to share them with you. The attachments for the fenders come in the style of the Clinched widebody Ford Mustang GT and are therefore fastened with exposed screw connections. Even the look is reminiscent of the Mustang because the Golf also comes with a yellow body and the contrasting body kit.

The attachments at the front go laterally over the entire bumper and at the rear the components cover approx. 30% of the rear apron on the right and left. There are quite large side skirts that at least try to allow a line between the four fenders. Incidentally, the extensions provide 14 cm additional body width and the MK5 surpasses every Passat or even the new VW Arteon. And what would such a project be without a rock-hard wheelset? The decision was made here for rims from the company Work Wheels and more precisely it is that two-part type Seeker GX with a bright orange painted rim star and highly polished rim wells.

So that the wheelset perfectly fills the widened fenders, of course, a lowering should not be missing and so the MK5 went huge in the direction of the road. Other changes include a modified rear apron including a sports exhaust system and a subtle spoiler lip on the front bumper. And as you can see, this project is apparently far from over and we hope that there will be more pictures of it soon. There is not much more to say due to the little information that we have now, so we leave it with the pictures and the video. If we get new details, there is of course, as always, an update for this report. It is best if you subscribe to our feed and if there is anything new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
