Hard to believe but that VW Golf R Convertible (MK6) was introduced over 5 years ago and still looks dewy as we find it. In the spring 2016 production was discontinued and so far the 7er was unfortunately never allowed to travel without a roof. Even less VW of course has thought of bringing an R without a lid on the market. It's a shame actually ... A pair of Golf 7 R Convertible facelift performance model with a lighter brake system, titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic and 310 PS & 400 Newton meter four-cylinder would have been a dream.
Then you have to ebeUpgrade to the 6 series! This is exactly what the Reifen SCHO GmbH team from Bad Bentheim did and presented the result yesterday on their Facebook timeline. On display was a snow-white VW Golf R convertible that has received an elegant TEC GT8 wheel set in the dimensions 9 × 19 inches, which act as a chic contrast to the body with their glossy black paintwork. The wheel set is equipped with tires of the type Hankook K117 Ventus S1 Evo2 in the dimensions 225/35 R19 88Y and thanks to an extreme lowering by means of gepfeffert.com coilover suspension in combination with KW stabilizers and MTM Clubsport dome bearings, the new wheel set sits consistently and up to the last millimeter in the wheel arch.
Since this combination of wheels in connection with the lowering for the standard fenders but too much is still built a set of Kerscher fenders and completes the project so skilfully. The owner should definitely have a lot of fun in the upcoming summer and some attention is guaranteed. If we get some more information, there is of course an update for this report.
