Good 30 years, the abbreviation GTI was the epitome of compact sports guns at the Wolfsburg. To 2002 the Golf R32 as an in-house competitor took over the supremacy. He was stronger, faster and visually anything but restrained. Especially with the generation MK4 the difference to the boring GTI was enormous. But even one stage later is still the case. Although the Golf V GTi is not visually more restrained than the 5 R32, in terms of performance, there is also a clear difference to hear. An 3,2-liter six-cylinder with 250 PS stands out clearly against a two-liter TFSI with 200 PS. At least on paper. In addition a larger brake system, all-wheel drive and the certainty to drive the last 6 cylinder in the VW Golf. And just such a copy we have now on the website of clinched discovered.

And if it has a vehicle there then only if it is equipped with fender flares. Clinched produces these for almost every model and we would like to present them to you now on a VW Golf 5 R32. The broadening comes in the usual style, which means that they are similar to the components of the Japanese tuner Liberty Walk be fastened with open screwed connections. They pull over the aprons at the front and back and are optically perfectly connected to each other by means of additional sill swords. In addition, the owner built a spoiler lip on the front bumper and unmistakably a huge Ducktail roof spoiler. And the striking rear apron with its central sports exhaust system has changed in some pictures already. Here you can see an aggressive diffuser design and only on the left side a tailpipe.

Whether this is only a temporary condition or whether this is a permanently new design of the rear apron is unfortunately unknown at the moment. Also, we currently have no information about the lowering available. Due to the extreme lowering of the Wolfsburgers we assume that the lowering was achieved by means of Airride-Luftfahrwerk. Incidentally, the wheel set is fully chrome plated Work Wheels alloy wheels in 20 inches, of course, due to the widening are built with fairly hefty dimensions. And some hints like the big intercooler also suggest that the performance of the VR6 (Motor identification BDB, BMJ, BUB, CBRA) is located above the standard 250PS & 320NM.

how much power does he really have?

But for this purpose, no information is known at the moment. In the interior, the Wolfsburg shows with a striking 3 spoke sports steering wheel in Chrome and body color, an exorbitantly huge gear lever, a new multimedia unit with navigation function and a political statement that we better not discuss here. If we get a few more specific details about the MK5 R32 in a timely manner, there is, of course, an update for this report. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will get in touch immediately. We wish you a lot of fun watching the pictures.
