Retro Classic & Tuning? The VW New Beetle makes it possible!

The VW New Beetle is a tribute to the VW Beetle (VW Type 1), the 1938 appeared and was built by the year 2003. From October 1997 the New Beetle was manufactured in Puebla (Mexico). The production ended in the middle of 2010. The VW Beetle (VW type 1) was placed in the lower middle class of the Volkswagen brand and equipped with an air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine. In addition it gave it exclusively with rear wheel drive. With crazy 21,5 million vehicles sold, the VW Beetle was the best-selling automobile in the world. Only in the year 2002 has the VW Golf managed to outdo the Beetle. And the new edition? There is a New Beetle convertible and a race car known as the New Beetle Cup. In addition, there are several special models such as the New Beetle RSi, the New Beetle Sport Edition, the New Beetle Dark Flint and more.

For example, the limited special model Dark Flint is a convertible that was released by 2005 and made from only 250 pieces. Also, the New Beetle RSi was limited to 250 cars and Sidney Hoffmann of Sidney Industries was a big fan of the RSi. In the tuning scene, the New Beetle is sometimes referred to as “sportier” than the Beetle. It would be bad if not. So far, however, VW has not achieved absolute success. The Beetle sells, but it's not a box office hit. On the YouTube video platform, some tuners present their car tuning projects with the New Beetle and show what modifications they have made to their car. When tuning the New Beetle, as with vehicle tuning, it's about improving the car and adapting it to personal preferences. Some tuners concentrate on the visual appearance of the VW New Beetle and change, for example, the body. A change in the interior is also often seen.

In addition, some tuners deal with the New Beetle autotuning with the engine power and conjure some extreme performances in the Wolfsburg. The sound system is also a common element that gets into the sights of vehicle tuners. Some professional tuners offer their expert support to help vehicle owners change their New Beetle or do the work they want. A common question in New Beetle vehicle tuning revolves around which parts are compatible with the car and what changes are feasible and allowed. With regard to the legal situation, the differences between different countries have to be taken into account. Also, the advice of a professional tuner can be useful. Many tuners who modify their New Beetle also interact with other tuners, such as social media groups or forums.
