Volkswagen is launching the T-Roc Cabriolet as a limited small series “Edition Grey” in good time for spring. The car for open driving is characterized by a special matt finish in indium gray and black accents on the interior and exterior. In addition, the special model includes numerous driver assistance systems and high-quality equipment with a price advantage of up to 1.400 euros. From February 2023, the first cars of the small series limited to 999 vehicles will be delivered.
VW T-Roc Cabriolet "Edition Gray"
Matt finishes are trendy and emphasize the sporty elegance. Last year, Volkswagen launched its first model with a matt finish, the T-Roc “Edition Blue”. Now the new T-Roc Cabriolet “Edition Grey” owes its character to this special paint finish. Instead of a glossy finish, a matt clear coat covers the indium gray base coat. The protective properties are the same as traditional clear coats, particularly in terms of UV resistance and stone chip resistance.
Black accents for a special appearance. The sporty equipment line R-Line (including sports suspension and progressive steering) forms the basis for the new special model. In addition, the "Black Style" design package with black trim strips and mirror caps as well as a black rear spoiler is part of the standard equipment. The door handles and the T-Roc lettering on the rear are also in deep black. Black-painted 18-inch Grange Hill wheels complete the overall impression. Extensive technical standard equipment. The special model "Edition Grey" has comfortable assistance systems and attractive equipment details as standard. These include:
- The navigation system Discover Media (including streaming and internet),
- the “IQ.DRIVE” driver assistance package, including the “Travel Assist” driving assistant, “Lane Assist” lane keeping assistant and “Side Assist” lane change assistant
- IQ. LIGHT LED matrix headlights, including the dynamic main beam control "Dynamic Light Assist"
- Winter package including heated steering wheel
- Backup camera
The special model offers a price advantage of 1.400 euros compared to the R-Line equipment. The model can also be expanded with the "Edition Plus" package, including:
- Black 19-inch wheels in Suzuka design,
- adaptive chassis control DCC
- Discover Pro navigation system,
- Sound system BeatsAudio.
The price advantage here is 2.400 euros.
- Limited small series. The small series of the T-Roc Cabriolet is limited to 999 units. The numbering is shown on a door sill panel specially designed for this special model. The price of the T-Roc Cabrio "Edition Gray" (with 1.5 TSI 110 kW/150 hp) is 46.470 euros with the "Edition" basic equipment or 51.600 euros with the "Edition Plus" package. Deliveries are expected to start in February 2023.
- Success model T-Roc. More than a million units sold since the market launch in 2017 speak for themselves: The T-Roc is a bestseller and a pillar in the Volkswagen brand's product portfolio. Since 2019, VW has also offered the T-Roc Cabriolet for open-air fans. Both models set standards in the volume segment with their powerful design, top quality, very good equipment (including a digital cockpit as standard) and powerful assistance systems. Proven core models such as the T-Roc, Golf and Tiguan form a crucial basis for VW's success in the company's transformation.
