Can a transporter also tolerate more power? Naturally! And if it is like in this case a VW T5 1.9 TDI PD with a standard performance of 86PS / 200 Nm then all the more. Of course you do not really want to race with a craftsman vehicle, but definitely that is AXC pump-nozzle four-cylinder diesel (apart from the 84PS - BRR) variant one of the measly engine options that you can choose. After all, the vehicle has a lot of dead weight and can optionally pull a trailer load of 750 kg - 2.200 kg, which is very optimistic in view of the 86 hp. Even without a trailer, the transporter struggles to 23,6 km / h in a grueling 24,7 - 100 s and is therefore roughly the same speed as a 26 HP Trabant P 601L! Fortunately, the four-cylinder (unlike the Trabbi) a turbocharger on board and a significant increase in performance can be achieved relatively easily using software.

This is exactly what the guys from Mcchip-DKR did and in the end get 117PS / 254Nm out of the engine, which brings the 1.9 TDI almost into the region of the 2.5 TDI - AXD. The increased torque in particular should be an advantage because pulling a trailer, or accelerating the fully loaded vehicle should now be much easier and you certainly don't have to be afraid of being chased by any small truck. There isn't much more to say about the car so we leave it with the pictures. Of course, if we get more information, there will be an update for this report, as always. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
