Can you still remember the ABT VW e-van and the Caddy remember that ABT Sportsline presented at the last IAA Commercial Vehicles Motor Show (2018)? At that time the company already showed some optical modifications (foiling & rims), but the highlight was definitely under the sheet metal. This is where an in-house developed electric drive was working which, with a power of 82 KW / 200 NM, accelerated the T6 bus completely electrically to up to 120 km / h and should enable a range of just over 200 km. The drive in the VW Caddy was also identical, although a battery twice as large, and the resulting double the range, were already in the works. The vehicles from the fair had green ABTe foiling as a distinguishing feature and in the case of the T6, the 20-inch Abt Sport GR wheelset was installed.

And now the tuner from the Allgäu still has the e-van T6 already known body kit tailor-made. In the case of the front spoiler, the side skirts and the optional roof wing this is identical to the variant of 2016. However, the approach to the rear apron has changed. As the Stromer understandably no exhaust can show the approach comes in diffuser optics with a completely closed aperture. Here you have the actually visible recess for the exhaust pipes but in the style of the remaining foliation green highlighted. And this time too, the T6 was given the Abt Sport GR wheelset in 9 × 20 inches, but now in a glossy black version with a green PinStripe. Incidentally, the in-house sport springs ensure a subtle lowering and the wheelset is equipped with 275/35 tires.
ABT-E emblem draws attention to the difference
In addition there is the green ABT-E emblem in the radiator grille and on the tailgate and further shows the T6 with black painted VW logos. Changes in the interior are currently not known to us, but it is clear that instead of the tachometer a charge level indicator of the battery unit was installed. And who would like to order the individual Abt floor mats on the E-T6 and thus miss the cabin's typical ABT individuality.
