He'll get them all! 2016 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor

Ford Motor Company is currently keeping a big secret around the 2016 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor that the company plans to unveil at the Chicago Auto Show on February 12th. Only one picture has been published so far, at least this picture shows us the base model, the 2016 Ford Explorer for which we have collected some data below.

  • all wheel drive
  • 3,5l EcoBoost V6 with 365 PS and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) torque
  • 6-speed automatic
  • sports suspension

Update from 11.02.2015

Now the official pictures and a video of the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor have surfaced. The "new" has brought the following changes:

  • new interior
  • stronger brakes
  • modified suspension
  • complete police equipment
  • Engine 3,7-liter V6 engine with 304PS and 378 Nm torque or the above-mentioned 3,5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365PS and 474 Nm.
  • both variants six-speed automatic
  • 4 × 4 drive
