Widebody BiTurbo LSX DeLorean DMC-12 for Sema 2021!

What we from tuningblog only managed to do it virtually, others have now turned that into reality. We're talking about one Widebody DeLorean DMC-12 with a different engine. And of course the spectacular one-off was on the previous one Sema 2021 at the Toyo Tires booth. Every year the craziest vehicles of the auto show can be seen there again. And it was no different at this year's SEMA Show. Next to one Tesla motor truck was the "Widebody twin turbo DeLorean“The highlight at the tire manufacturer's stand. And Kyle Loftis from 1320video on YouTube had the opportunity to talk to the owner Tim Moceri about the unique piece. Moceri has been enthusiastic about the DeLorean, like probably everyone else, since the 1985 film "Back to the Future".

a scrap-ready DMC was the basis

He had wanted to tackle such a project for a long time and at some point he shot the then cheapest DMC-12 online and took the opportunity to convert it. The vehicle was badly damaged, but that didn't bother him. Since purchasing it, Moceri has made countless changes to its DeLorean.

In particular, the installation is fatter Garrett turbocharger, the installation of Turbo Smart Waste Gates and by the way there was an impressive one Wide body kitoriginally from Khyzyl Saleem was rendered. And this is not New. Because Khyzyl's virtual ideas are always being turned into reality (BMW M3 E30 LTO, VW Golf 2 GTI, Dodge Viper, Polestar 1 etc.). Moceri customized the entire vehicle with the inspiration of Saleem's virtual drawings. Starting with the tail lights from the 3D printer to the side skirts. One of the biggest changes, however, is the incorporation of one LS motorwho is under a Lexan cover that somehow reminds us of a Ferrari F40.

5,3-liter LS-V8 with turbocharging

In concrete terms, by the way, it is one 5,3 liter LS V8who at a Porsche 996 gearbox is coupled. A was specially made for the engine One-of-one intake manifold from Jg3d and the piping for the Intercooler one has somehow in front to the turbos on the engine in the back under the car integrated. The turbos sit right next to the Lamborghini-style exhaust, which of course is not the optimal position. But since this vehicle is more of a show car and doesn't really have to prove itself on the quarter mile, that's fine. Incidentally, Moceri is still planning K&N filter system to obstruct and at the same time is happy to start with large construction sites like the special ones LED taillights to have completed from a solid acrylic block. Moceri is still working on optimizing the DeLorean and we are curious to see whether it will be upgraded for SEMA 2022.
