Today we have a super rare 1989 Toyota Supra A70 from Wektor for you. The vehicle was recently Speed Hunters Magazine released and is one of the most unusual cars from 2022, we think. Wektor is a long-forgotten German tuning company, similar to the company KOENIG SPECIALS. Wektor was founded by Johann Bergmeier in 1988 and one of the first converted vehicles was the then brand new Mk3 Supra. The Japanese was given an all-round fiberglassBreitbau, which increased the overall width by a crazy 40 centimeters. For the extreme look, there was even an increase in performance for the 3.0-liter 7M-GTE engine, which then mobilized a strong 420 hp. Bergmeier named him Wector Competition (nickname "SupraRossa") and allegedly only 68 vehicles were built.

And the Wektor Competition from the pictures is to a certain extent a tuningRestomod. Because the tuning conversion from back then was equipped with modern components. A double turbocharger is installed, there is a tailor-made leather interior and a new sound system is also included. At the same time, the classic has lost none of its 80s charm. The Ferrari Testarossa design features include the largest side air vents ever, new fenders and the aprons are completely different. And as mentioned, the 7M-GTE now has received two turbos. It was rebuilt by the Finnish company MW Steel, who rely on two Garrett GTX30 chargers in combination with a tailor-made one Intercooler and custom-made piping. There was also a new exhaust manifold, a downpipe and a 3,5 inchstainless steel exhaust.

732 PS & 781 Nm torque

Also a dual plane Intake system, a new oil cooler system, a flex-fuel fuel system from KMS, Bosch EV14 Injectors (2.000 cm³) and three Bosch Motorsport 044-fuel pumps are installed. As far as we know, the last run on the test bench delivered a hefty 732 PS & 781 Nm of torque at 1,72 bar (25,3 psi) boost pressure and with E85 fuel. Due to the immense power, the 5-speed R154 gearbox has been upgraded with billet gears and a BC Racing coilover kit ensures more driving stability. Incidentally, the classic is slowed down with a large brake system from Wilwood. And the wheelset? These are contemporary three-piece 17 inch Tramont rims, according to Speedhunters 19 inch Weds Kranze Borphe-Alus are already planned.

And as already mentioned, the interior has been updated with a special red/black leather interior, Pitbull logos and a new one Sound system refreshed. To do this, a JEGS lever was installed next to the center console, with which a Bremsfallschirm should open. The Wektor Supra is supposed to get even more power and on that quarter mile walk.
