Mid-engine instead of front engine! The new Chevrolet Corvette C8 breaks with a tradition. Although this also means that the sporting endurance is a bit more expensive, but with a base price for the stingray of under 60.000 US dollars, it is still almost unbeatable low. And who is this country the competition? Assuming that the C8 will be offered in Europe with a four-liter V8 twin-turbo, we're talking fast about vehicles like a McLaren 540C, an Audi R8, a Lamborghini Huracan or even a Ferrari 488 GTB. All vehicles that are sometimes significantly above the 200.000 € mark and thus perhaps twice as expensive as the C8 could be. In any case, it will be cheaper than a Porsche 911 GT3 RS or a Mercedes-AMG GT S both of which can not register a cool mid-engine.

And the look of a GT3 or GT S is somehow nothing new either. The brand new C8, which at first glance could also be a Ferrari, is completely different - though not necessarily a nice one. But once you get used to the new proportions, you will quickly get to know and love the details of the body. Especially if you try a first tuning, like the artist "Brad Builds - ArtStation" for his virtual Vehicles is known. He pre-buttoned the new C8 and donated an extensive widebody kit. In addition there was all-round fender widening and beyond that a changed front bumper including huge splinters. Laterally, the Vette still got sills and only at the rear, nothing has changed.

But that is not necessary at all because the factory rear spoiler and the sporty aggressive diffuser already ensure a huge look. For this, "Brad Builds" installed a set of new alloy wheels that could well have come from the manufacturer BBS in terms of design. An approximately 21 & 22 inch multi-part forged rim replaces the 19 & 20 inch rims ex works and sits in the wheel arch with millimeter precision thanks to the brutal lowering. And when it comes to lowering, we type in an Airride air suspension that pushes the Corvette down to the last millimeter in the direction of the road at the push of a button. In addition, the headlights at the front and rear were slightly darkened and so the first is here known to us modified Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray.

These are the details about the virtual tuning:

  • Base: Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray
  • Widebody kit with huge fender flares, front splitter, sill swords
  • Alloy wheels (maybe from the manufacturer BBS) in approx. 21 & 22 inches (multi-part forged wheel in black)
  • Spotlights darkened in front and behind
  • Lowering (Airride Air Suspension)
  • darkened / tinted windows
