They actually did! About a year ago we reported that the Japanese tuner Liberty Walk Performance an extensive one Widebody kit for the tiny Daihatsu Copen plans. The virtual pictures showed that they actually wanted to give the Daihatsu Kei Car the look of the powerful Nissan GT-R. And that is exactly what has now been done. Liberty Walk a few weeks ago the "DAIHATSU COPEN GT-K" that looks like a too hot washed GT-R. In front there is a completely new bumper that looks exactly like that of the Nissan GT-R. Even a GT-R emblem has been installed and, in addition, striking daytime running lights and a GT-R typical front splitter.
Matching with this is the standard bonnet, which underlines the bold appearance from the front with the two striking bulges. And of course, the attached fender flares with open fittings must not be missed and so gets the small Copen missed the components. The side part is underlined by tailor-made side sills including swords and it gets completely crazy at the rear. Here's an oversized GT4-style rear wing (COPEN GT-K ver.1 - GT wing) which extends almost over the entire vehicle width.
For this purpose, you installed a completely new apron at the rear which includes the sporty diffuser and a small duck-tail spoiler lip on the tailgate to complete the huge rear view. And if you are already exaggerating, you can also install a re / li sports exhaust system from HKS with big blue burnt tailpipes. Said done and so may the strong 0,66 liter - 64 hp petrol engine really come into its own. The body kit is rounded off by discreet mirror caps and, in the case of the presentation vehicle, by some Liberty Walk and GT-R badgets. But what would such a project be without lowering the vehicle or a set of new alloy wheels?
Liberty Walk crashes the Copen rigorously in the direction of the road using elaborately installed Airride air suspension and uses two different black, in-house wheelsets with Advan tires. Of course, the conversion carries on powerful and especially in view of the funny motorization, this is all over the top, on the other hand, you can not deny the DAIHATSU COPEN GT-K the attention to detail and the quite appealing appearance.
