600 PS Widebody De Tomaso Pantera by Kean Suspensions

No car model from De Tomaso is as well known as the Pantera. Designed by Tom Tjaarda and built from 1971 to 1993 there were exactly 7.260 vehicles that were powered, among other things, by a 351 Cleveland V8 (5,7 l) with four-fold carburettor derived from racing. The engine remained installed until the end of the 80s and only the last GT5-S Pantera had a Ford 351 Windsor on board. The performance levels ranged from 280 hp in 1971 to the rare GT4 with 500 hp. The performance values on paper were exact in relation to what was actually produced, but actually never. SAE-PS instead of lower DIN-PS and different emissions regulations caused and still cause some confusion. Anyway ...! The guys from Kean Suspension (owner Kenny) have pre-buttoned one of these vehicles and converted it into an absolutely unique piece.

The "Kean Brothers" already pointed out the project with a few pictures in the spring of this year, and in May the vehicle was completed and can even be seen here at Lake Wörthersee. And as befits its standing, the fully restored Pantera received a Kean Airride air suspension with AccuAir E-Level management and, of course, an exorbitantly huge wheel set. Specifically, it is a custom-made product from "Sköl Wheels" and specifically it is the Sköl SK11 type that has a drop center that is wider than many a complete rim. More precisely, the dimensions are 17 x 11 inches on the front axle and the rear axle has an incredible 18 x 15 inches to offer. Incidentally, the wheel set is equipped with Kingsize Toyo Tires Proxes R888 slippers in the format 245/40/17 and 335/30/18. And so that the wheel set can be covered by the body at all, custom-made fender flares were screwed, which are also responsible for the ultimate widebody look.

behind it hides a Brembo brake system

After all, the 427-V8 in the rear of the Pantera now makes stately 600 PS and provides propulsion on the level of a current super sports car. However, with classic manual gear! And in the style of the former group 4 Pantera racing cars there were additional carbon air vents right and left, Makrolon side windows (polycarbonate) with fresh air hatch, there was a specially adapted roll cage inside and sporty full leather bucket seats with straps attached to the cage could not be missing in the single piece , Rounding it all off with a typical group of 4 foiling by the team at Wrapjunkies. More details are unfortunately not available for the Pantera by Kean Suspensions. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
