NOVITEC refines after the NOVITEC ROSSO Ferrari 488 Spider  and the Cut now the 488 again. But this time much more complex! The main focus is on the spectacular limited edition widebody kit. Even in the widebody model, 568 kW / 772 PS & 892 Nm torque rage and that is enough to reach a top speed of 342 km / h. It does not matter whether you are sitting in the coupe or the spider. The whole thing is called NOVITEC N-LARGO and is the fat version of the Novitec tuning program for the Italian. The spectacular wide version is available for the two mid-engine models 488 GTB and 488 Spider, but only 11 times for the respective body variant. Strictly limited! The widebody kit is made of ultra-light, but high-strength carbon. In addition, there are tailor-made three-piece NOVITEC NF6 NL high-tech aluminum rims that are manufactured using the forging process and are installed in a combination of 21 and 22 inches. But let's stick with the body kit.

It ensures that the rear of the 488 grows to 209 centimeters wide. This means that the NOVITEC N-LARGO is a full 14cm wider than a standard Ferrari 488. This is possible thanks to the newly shaped side panels which provide 7cm growth on each side of the vehicle. Of course, exactly matching inner fenders were made and of course there is enough space for the new NOVITEC N-LARGO NF6 NL rims. They have a three-part construction and are produced using high-tech forging technology. Care was taken that the wide version resulted in an extremely concave wheel spider. The look with its five filigree double spokes is an absolute hit. The format of the rims is huge with 12Jx22 and the same applies to the high-performance tires of dimension 335/25. And the changes are also extensive at the front. The track has also been widened here and the wasp waist is elegantly emphasized.

To do this, the front fenders were replaced by perfectly fitting N-LARGO counterparts, which ensure that the two-seater on the front axle is seven centimeters wide (3,5 cm on each side). The intent is the wedge-shaped look to which the 9Jx21 wheels with their 255/30 ZR 21 tires also contribute. The new fenders have three gill-shaped slots on each side that help to effectively divert the hot brake air from the braking system. And at the rear, too, attention was paid to perfect air flow by providing the side panels with enlarged ventilation openings for the engine compartment, so that the engine is better cooled. The same applies to the rear brakes, for which the N-LARGO side skirts were equipped with discreet air inlets. Of course, the new front and rear bumpers, including spoilers, also play an optical and technical key role. The N-LARGO front and rear aprons completely replace the standard bumpers and are perfectly adapted to the extensions.

The front apron also got a front spoiler, which, like the side flaps, can be ordered in clear carbon. And of course it also makes sense, the shape developed in the wind tunnel reduces aerodynamic lift, which means that driving stability is optimized. At the rear, the N-LARGO apron with integrated diffuser and large rear wing provide additional aerodynamic downforce. Small details like the black side indicators and reflectors as well as the dark additional brake light including LED technology round off the look package impressively. And the chassis has also been planned. NOVITEC lowers the 488 with special sport springs by up to 35 millimeters and ensures a scratch-free spoiler lip with the optional front lift system on the front axle. The system causes the hydraulic height adjustment to raise the front axle by around 40 millimeters at the push of a button. If you want to go back to the driving position, this is also possible by pressing a button or automatically from a speed of 80 km / h. Of course, those who look so hard must have more power than the series. As with the Novitec Rosso 488 linked above, NOVITEC also offers the performance kits for the 3,9 liter V8 biturbo in the N-Largo.

A nice gimmick is the fact that you can activate and deactivate the engine tuning on the Manettino on the steering wheel. The NOVITEC N-TRONIC control modules are fundamentally responsible for the increase in performance. They can be connected to the engine electronics using plug-and-play technology. The additional power is available thanks to newly programmed maps for injection and ignition and a modified boost pressure control. This also includes the NOVITEC high-performance sports exhaust system. It is a completely thermally insulated exhaust system that is offered in different versions, including one made from INCONEL and optionally with electronic sound management. 100-cell sport catalysts are also available.

If you select all options, the V8-BiTurbo with NOVITEC engine tuning delivers a whopping 76 kW / 102 PS more than the standard 488 and also increases the maximum torque by 132 Nm to 892 Nm (at 3.250 rpm). With now 568 kW / 772 PS at 7.950 rpm, the performance is of course improved. It goes to 2,8km / h in just 100 seconds and the top speed is only reached at 342 km / h. And if you want, you can also get individual exclusivity in the interior.
