The year 2019 starts at the tuner Imperial tuning (Russia) with an extensive widebody kit for the BMW X6 F16 and also the top model X6M F86. After other tuners from Russia presented a rather flashy version for the technically identical X2017 F5 & X15M F5 in the summer of 85, the sporty brother was now also getting a Russian body kit. And this time the result is a bit more subtle. A completely new front apron was developed for the X6, which is somewhat based on the design of the M apron. However, the round fog lights are omitted and additional LED daytime running lights are installed instead. In addition, the air vents are slightly larger and the apron also has an integrated front spoiler. On the X6M presentation vehicle, a new bonnet that comes with a slightly different design is also installed. And new are the attachments for the fenders all around, which widen the front and rear bumpers a little.

However, they are not as ragged as the components of the other Russian tuners and work, in particular with the appropriately shaped side sills, much more harmonious as we find. Although one did not want to do without various air vents, the design is tolerable and not exaggerated. And also a new rear apron has been designed. This is much more aggressive compared to the F86 M apron, or the optional M-Performance component for the F16. The diffuser approach is a bit more striking and especially the tailpipes integrated into it we like really well. For this purpose, one built a small spoiler lip for the tailgate and darkens the taillights and the reflectors of the X16 discreetly. Small details like the black M-Performance kidney with double bridge or even the dark BMW emblem in front round off the black, and rather gloomy, appearance of the X6M impressively.

And the 21-inch Y-spoke bicolor wheel set (type 375) also goes pretty well with the Widebody X6 as we find. It is still wide enough to properly fill in the slightly grown wheel arches. Even if we believe that a few spacers were used here. Information on this is missing so far. But of course, nice 23 inchers and a subtle lowering should look a bit more successful. We may see the X6 on a new wheelset next summer. Imperial Tuning shows with the body kit for the BMW X6 of the F16 model series that apart from well-known manufacturers how Lumma, Hamann or Carver There are still alternatives to be found.
