What do an 585PS Mercedes-Benz AMG SL 63 Roadster, an 564PS Cadillac CTS-V, an 570PS Porsche Panamera Turbo S, an 576PS Aston Martin Vanquish Volante or an 575PS BMW M5 F10 have in common with the optional Competition Package? They all have a lower power to weight ratio than the latest creation from the halls of Wimmer Rennsporttechnik. It's hard to believe but the tuner grabbed a 2.500PS heavy VW Polo R WRC limited to 220 specs and installed fabulous 420PS in the Hot-Hatch. Thus, the Wimmer Polo surpasses the JDShiftechMTBmcchip or  Bed and Breakfast Versions sometimes by lengths and thanks to the electronic limited-slip differential, all of them shoots away.

The whole thing is not cheap at a good 10.000 €, but if you consider that a used Polo WRC can already be bought for a good 20.000 € then a total price of 30.000 € for such a grenade a joke. The Wimmer Rennsporttechnik team presented the high-flyer 3 days ago and we absolutely have to show it to you. After the tuning cure, which also brings some changes in appearance, the Polo is now much more exciting, more individual and of course much more powerful than the production version.

Again the team of Wimmer Racing set up a VW Polo R WRC with 420 hp. The technical key data with 480 Nm torque and a resulting power-to-weight ratio of only 3,15 kg / PS are identical to the vehicle from the article above. The optics, however, are not identical. This time the Wolfsburg comes with a full wrap from the Foil Center NRW in matt green with large "Wimmer" prints and a poison green stripe, and there was also a chic set of wheels.

Installed are BBS CH-R aluminum rims in the dimensions 8 × 18 inch with tires in the format 215 / 35 ZR18. The lowering also takes over here a KW coilover suspension of the variant 3. Ps. It may even be one and the same vehicle, just with different foiling and other rims. More information is currently not available.

Maybe there will soon be an update with information and pictures. If this is the case we will of course also put it online and inform you about it.
