The European expansion of various Chinese car brands is in full swing, and the young brand XPeng alias Xiaopeng Motors would also like a piece of the cake that is currently being distributed in Europe. In the electric mobility sector, the deck has been completely reshuffled in recent years, with newcomers like Tesla outpacing the established brands in terms of registration numbers. As one of Tesla's strongest competitors in the Chinese market, XPeng is now trying to gain a foothold in Europe with its vehicles. Today we introduce you to an XPeng P7 that drives in China, goes by the name "Page", and has been extravagantly modified by its tuner.
Body kit & underbody lighting
The restrained and elegantly designed four-door luxury class coupé becomes the DIYbodykit of the tuner, whose name we unfortunately do not know, an optical ripper. A fat GT rear wing, pronounced side skirts and a modified front bumper with a modified lip ensure the e-mobile is dynamic. At the rear, a dominant diffuser also gives a sporty look and the 20-inch alloy wheels with a glossy black finish and star optics give the car an evil character. In addition comes a Airride chassis by AirLift Performance, whose compressor is housed in the front luggage compartment, which is also called "Frunk" in modern German.
So far so good, but the highlight is yet to come. It's a shrill one Unterbodenbeleuchtung, which can change color similar to ambient lighting. It was last seen around the turn of the millennium and this type of modification became the epitome of Fair tuning. We also think the lighting on the XPeng P7 is exaggerated, because it makes the car look a lot like a late-pubescent "boy racer". The elegantly designed e-limousine does not deserve such a look.
There is a choice of two electric drives with an output of 196 kW or 316 kW!
Unfortunately, we do not know which drive is installed in the model we are presenting. However, the top speed is only meager, electronically limited, 170 km/h, while the sprint from 0 to 100 in the top version is done in 4,3 seconds. Our conclusion: The tuning crew overshot the mark a bit on “Page”. Fair tuning on the luxury class Stromer is not en vogue and the harmonious design of the XPeng P7 suffers as a result.
