The naked sport bike, the Ducati Monster from the Italian Borgo Panigale, is popular for its compact design and light weight. The bike forms the core of the Ducati family and presents a mixture that is specially designed for the ultimate riding experience. And from June, the color spectrum of the Monster and Monster Plus models will be expanded to include a new shade: Iceberg White. The new color further emphasizes the unique style of the Monster series. With its sporty and powerful, yet roadworthy, engine, the Monster is the flagship model of Ducati's naked sport bike line. Ducati's own description reads: A bike that is suitable for everyone and can be mastered at all times without sacrificing riding pleasure or speed.
2024 Ducati Monsters
The Monster offers first-class driving performance, which can be controlled at any time thanks to the most advanced electronics, and combines this with a modern, attractive design. In doing so, it maintains its connection to the original DNA of the 1993 concept, which includes the combination of the Ducati street engine with a superbike-based frame. A Panigale V4-inspired aluminum front frame is used.
And for the 2024 model year, Ducati has expanded the Monster color range with the addition of Iceberg White, which joins the existing Ducati Red and Aviator Gray finishes. And the new color is also available for the Plus version, which is upgraded with an additional front fairing and pillion seat cover to give the bike an even sportier look.
Lightness & comfort: The highlights of the Monster
The low weight is one of the main features of the Monster. Each individual part was developed with the aim of achieving the lowest possible weight. From the aluminum front frame to the rear that is attached directly to the engine, everything has been designed to reduce the overall weight by an impressive 18 kg (39,68 lb) compared to the Monster 821. The result is a handy and compact bike that can be effortlessly maneuvered through traffic and promises full control at all times. With a seat height of 820 mm (32.28 inches) and a slim silhouette, it also makes it easy for smaller people to get on and off.
Footpeg and handlebar positions also promote a relaxed riding position and a comfortable riding experience. The modern design focuses on the essentials and emphasizes the concise attributes of the monsters. The front view of the bike is dominated by the full LED headlight, while the short, curved tail stands out in the rear with two painted side panels inspired by the Panigale V4. And in the middle, of course, is the Monster's signature curvy and muscular fuel tank.
Top class electronics
The Monster is equipped with the latest generation of electronics. Standard accessories include ABS, traction control and wheelie control, all of which are multi-stage adjustable. All relevant driving information can be viewed on the 4,3-inch TFT color display. And the sporty character of the Monster is further underlined by launch control. Incidentally, the engine used is the Testastretta 11° desmodromic twin-cylinder with Euro 5 approval, the valve clearance of which only needs to be checked and adjusted every 30.000 km.
Maximum power and torque are 111 hp (at 9.250 rpm) and 93 Nm (at 6.500 rpm). Info: The Monster is also available in a throttled version with 2 kW for holders of the A35 driving license. The reliable and powerful engine can be adapted to the individual needs of each rider with the three Ducati Riding Modes – Sport, Touring and Urban.
Ducati Performance accessories & prices
And the Monster can be customized with a wide range of Ducati Performance accessories, from the Termignoni exhaust to an engine guard and a short number plate holder. The 2024 Monster in Iceberg White will be available in Germany from June 2023 from €12.590, while the Plus version will be available for €12.990.
