BMW G 310 R - Dynamic Roadster model year 2021!

With its powerful, dynamic single-cylinder, the BMW G 310 R opened up the world of dynamic roadsters from BMW Motorrad for the displacement segment below 2015 cc when it was launched in 500. Nimble and agile in the city, confident and powerful on the country road - the lively, precise Dynamic Roadster impressed many customers all over the world, especially beginners. To ensure that it stays that way in the future, BMW Motorrad has made the BMW G 310 R fit for the future and given it a number of optimizations.

Single cylinder according to EU-5 homologation

The heart of the new BMW G 310 R is still the tried and tested 313 cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves, two overhead camshafts and electronic fuel injection. The cylinder inclination to the rear and the cylinder head rotated by 180 degrees with inlet at the front and outlet at the rear remain a structural characteristic. This arrangement follows the logic of optimal combustion air routing and results in a particularly compact vehicle architecture. With an output of 25 kW (34 PS) at 9 rpm and a maximum torque of 500 Nm at 28 rpm, the single-cylinder of the new BMW G 7 R is the ideal partner for dynamic roadstering even in the current EU-500 homologation. Pleasure.

For use in the new BMW G 310 R, the engine was equipped with a so-called "electronic throttle" (e-gas) and now offers an even more sensitive throttle response. An automatic increase in idle speed when starting up also prevents the engine from suddenly stalling. The self-reinforcing slipper clutch is also new. It reduces the engine drag torque and brings a significant plus in driving safety - especially during braking maneuvers that are associated with simultaneous downshifts. It also offers significantly reduced operating forces on the clutch lever.

New LED headlights and LED indicators - see and be seen optimally.

While the BMW G 310 R already had a brake light in LED technology, the new BMW G 310 R now has a full LED headlight for even better visibility when driving at night and LED indicators for increased visibility in traffic. The new LED headlights not only offer particularly bright and homogeneous illumination of the road. The three light functions high and low beam - as well as the daytime running lights depending on the country - can be conveniently operated via the left handlebar switch.

Four-stage adjustable hand lever for brake and clutch.

Both the clutch lever and the handbrake lever are now adjustable in four stages. They now offer ergonomic advantages - especially for people with small hands. Level 3 of the brake lever setting corresponds to the previous reach. In position 1, the brake lever moves 6 mm closer to the handlebar.

Gently revised design with two attractive basic colors and the exclusive “Sport” style variant.

Dynamism and agility are also reflected in the design of the new BMW G 310 R. The visual affinity to sporty family members such as the BMW S 1000 R is unmistakable. This is also reflected in the color scheme of the Dynamic Roadster. What all three color variants of the BMW G 310 R have in common are the engine housing covers for the generator, clutch and water pump, now painted in titanium gray metallic, as well as the footrest plates and passenger grab handles.

In addition to the basic color cosmic black and a distinctly masculine touch, there is now another basic variant to choose from: polar white, which, in conjunction with blue painted areas, represents the traditional BMW house colors in a fresh, dynamic way. In the Sport style with the basic color Limestone metallic, striking red “R” graphics on the side panels and red for the frame and rims, the new BMW G 310 R confidently shows its sporty side.
