2021 Ducati Scrambler Nightshift will retire two others!

For the model year 2021, the 800ccm series of the "Land of Joy" will be completely redesigned with the introduction of a new model, the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift, and the introduction of two new impressive colors: a sporty Ducati red on the Scrambler icon and “Sparking Blue”, supplemented by red and iceberg white paintwork for the Scrambler Desert Sled. The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is a model that meets the needs of all those who are looking for a puristic and at the same time stylish motorcycle. A motorcycle that, as the name suggests, triggers the atmosphere of the night and a limitless feeling of freedom. The Scrambler Nightshift is equipped with wide and narrow handlebars, Cafè Racer mirrors and license plate holders in the style of a flat tracker. The design of this new prime example of the “Land of Joy” is characterized by its classic lines, into which some aggressive accents relating to the world of the custom garage have been inserted, such as the omitted rear fender.

The most iconic Ducati Scrambler model, the Scrambler Icon, is introduced to the sporty Ducati Red Tank color scheme alongside the classic Ducati Scrambler Yellow with a black frame and black seat. The Scrambler Desert Sled, on the other hand, definitely changes its look with the introduction of the new “Sparking Blue” paintwork, with red and white details on the tank and fenders as well as gold rims. A homage to the enduro bikes of the 80s. The new, non-slip upholstery of the seat, together with the 200 mm fork travel and a protective grille for headlights as standard equipment, underline the true off-road character. For the model year 2021, all motorcycles in the Ducati Scrambler family meet the EURO 5 standard, which regulates pollutant emissions in all countries in which it applies.

The Scrambler Icon combines modern and authentic materials to perfection. The aluminum of the thicker side panels matches the steel of the teardrop-shaped fuel tank and the glass of the headlight. Noble features like the black painted crankcase and the brushed cylinder head panels make the Ducati Scrambler even more eye-catching.

The headlight with DRL (Daytime Running Light) increases the visibility of the motorcycle in traffic, even in daylight, as do the automatically deactivating LED indicators. Ergonomic controls make it easier for the driver to scroll through the menu of the LCD cockpit, which now also includes a fuel gauge.

The wide handlebars, the flat seat and the optimized chassis set-up of the Ducati Scrambler merge into a more comfortable and relaxed seating position. Cornering ABS maximizes safety when braking and guarantees the driver full driving pleasure. Riders will also appreciate the softer hydraulic clutch control, while the adjustable lever - like the one on the front brake - ensures that the lever-handlebar spacing can be adjusted to suit individual needs.

With the Ducati multimedia system, you can listen to your favorite music while driving, answer incoming calls or talk to the passenger on the intercom.

Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark

The Scrambler Icon Dark is the version that best represents the purism of this iconic motorcycle family: two wheels, wide handlebars, a simple engine and lots of fun. This model represents the perfect entry into the “800” range, but also the ideal starting point to create a very personal version of the Ducati Scrambler experience. The Ducati Scrambler world is completed thanks to a large selection of original accessories that go well with the matt black paintwork of the tank and fenders, as well as numerous accessories.

Ducati Scrambler Nightshift

The new Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is ready to hit the streets with its iconic style, the sophistication of its lines and the euphoric search for details. The new model, the name of which immediately suggests the atmosphere of the night, fits perfectly into the "Land of Joy" as a choice for all those who are looking for a puristic and at the same time stylish motorcycle. The Scrambler Nightshift is equipped with a comfortable seating position, even when accompanied by a passenger, and allows its owner to experiment with individual accessories.

The Scrambler Nightshift, in the color Aviator Gray, is equipped as standard with a new flat seat in the café racer style, which is comfortable for both the driver and each passenger. The model inherits the straight & narrow handlebars from the 1100 Sport Pro and rounds it off with Cafè Racer mirrors and license plate holders in flat tracker style. The motorcycle is also equipped with other aesthetic details such as the front and rear LED indicators (only approved for the EU version) and spoked wheels.

The design of this version is characterized by the choice of a classic and authentic line, where the sportier aspect is emphasized by the absence of the rear fender; a characteristic element borrowed from the custom garage culture, where all the non-essential elements have been eliminated to ensure particularly clean and sporty lines.

The wheel sizes correspond to those of the Scrambler Icon: 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, while the Pirelli MT60 series tires, which have since become icons, are ideal for use on asphalt as well as for fun on unpaved roads.

As comfortable as a full throttle and as fascinating as a café racer, the Nightshift is the perfect fusion of the two versions, which will no longer be available in 2021.

Ducati Scrambler Desert Next

The Desert Sled comes straight from the deserts and mountains of California and provides a fresh look at the off-road motorcycles of the 60s and 70s that made American history.

Desert Sleds are American-made motorcycles that appeared in Southern California and Baja California, Mexico in the 60s and 70s. These were street motorcycles with a displacement of more than 500 cc, without any unnecessary accessories. Equipped with off-road tires and spoke wheels, they also received modified suspension systems and engine protection pans. In fact, it is the engine pan that is essential to protecting the motorcycle from rocks, stones and the unyielding desert terrain that gave the Desert Sled its name.

Over the years these motorcycles became a motorcycle category in their own right: until their introduction, there was no comparable style.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled revives this spirit true to the original - but without giving up the unique values of the Scrambler lifestyle. Thanks to the special red frame, the swing arm, the triple clamps, the chassis, the spoked wheels (19 ″ front) and the lines, this motorcycle is simply perfect for those who want to leave the asphalt and enjoy themselves on unpaved paths. The off-road suitability of the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is also evident in the type-tested protective grille of the headlights, the high fenders (specially developed for this version) and of course in the engine protection tray.

Thanks to the seat with non-slip padding that maintains a height of 860 mm (a 20 mm lower bench is available as an accessory), an adjustable Kayaba chassis (with 46 mm fork diameter) with 200 mm of travel and off-road style footrests with removable rubber buffers this scrambler also has a special driving position. The passenger pegs - separate from those of the driver - are removable.

The Desert Sled also has an off-road driving mode that allows the ABS to be switched off.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is equipped with spoked wheels, 19 "at the front and 17" at the rear. Pirelli SCORPION ™ RALLY STR tires are mounted on the wheels, in the front in the dimensions 120/70 R 19 M / C 60V M + S TL and in the rear 170/60 R 17 M / C 72V M + S TL. SCORPION ™ RALLY STR tires offer a unique combination of excellent off-road and enduro road suitability.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled will definitely change its appearance for 2021 with the introduction of the new “Sparking Blue” paintwork, supplemented by red and white details on the fuel tank and on the fenders as well as gold rims. A homage to the enduro motorcycles of the 80s. The new, non-slip upholstery of the seat, together with the standard 200 mm suspension travel and the protective grille of the headlights, underline the true off-road character.
