The style of the 2023 Ducati Scrambler!

The new Ducati Scrambler maintains its classic design while evolving its characteristic elements in a modern form. The daytime running lights (DRL) with the 4 circular sectors have become a trademark of the Ducati Scrambler and ensure a high recognition value. In the new version, the shape has been renewed for a more modern and elegant look. The headlight, now entirely in LED technology, retains the iconic "X", redesigned and transferred to the outer area for an even more distinctive style. The design of the rear light, which is still entirely in LED technology, has also evolved while retaining the classic and easily recognizable semicircular shape. The indicators also use LED technology.

The steel tank has been redesigned and provided with interchangeable elements that, together with the mudguards and the headlight covers, give the bike its color. Elegant covers in anodized aluminum under the tank complete the renewed design at the front of the bike. The cockpit of the Ducati Scrambler is even more modern thanks to the new 4,3" TFT color display, which blends in perfectly with the style of the motorcycle. The twin-cylinder Desmodue engine, a key element of the Ducati Scrambler's personality, has new clutch and alternator covers bearing the "X" logo. The timing belt cover has a refined shape that matches the new style of the bike. The exhaust, which has also been further developed, has even more puristic lines. Thanks to the new manifold, the engine comes into its own.

The technology of the 2023 Ducati Scrambler!

The new Ducati Scrambler has also been technically improved and made 4 kg lighter. This makes it even more manageable and easier to control. The chassis is completely new and makes an important contribution to reducing the weight of the motorcycle. The tubular space frame has been renewed and made lighter. The bike features a new swingarm connected to a strut that is centrally installed. The engine has also been revised with a view to possible weight savings. The rear frame is now separated from the main frame for a sportier driving experience.

Driveability is also improved by a slightly increased steering angle, which contributes to better handling both when maneuvering and in city traffic. The newly designed wheels retain the previous formats of 18 inches for the front wheel and 17 inches for the rear wheel. The Desmodue engine, which has always distinguished the Ducati Scrambler, has been modernized, is around 2,5 kg lighter than the previous generation and now has a new eight-plate clutch that requires less manual effort. The clutch is also more compact, which means that the cover does not protrude as far outwards and therefore offers more space for the driver's foot. The new Ducati Scrambler is also equipped with a bearing-mounted shift drum that enables smoother and more precise shifting.

The introduction of ride-by-wire throttle management increases driving pleasure while increasing safety. This technical solution regulates the response of the engine and ensures that it responds well at all speeds. This innovation also allows the introduction of Ducati Traction Control and the two Riding Modes: Road and Wet. The latter was specially developed for driving on wet roads and offers smoother throttle response and traction control more focused on driving stability and safety. The standard equipment is completed by cornering ABS, essential for even safer driving.

Thanks to the introduction of a ride-by-wire system, the new generation Desmodue engine has the option of installing an automatic gearshift (Ducati Quick Shift up/down), standard on the Full Throttle and standard on the models other than accessories are available. Also available as an accessory is the Ducati Multimedia System, which offers the possibility of managing music and calls by connecting your smartphone to the bike. The air-cooled, two-valve, two-cylinder engine still has a maximum output of 73 hp and is also available in a 35 kW version for driving license category A2. The Ducati Scrambler Icon, as well as the Full Throttle and Nightshift models, will arrive at dealerships in March 2023.

Ducati Scrambler icon

The Icon version represents the puristic spirit of the Ducati Scrambler. Thanks to the new steel tank and the interchangeable fairing parts, the new Scrambler can be customized with different colors. Also interchangeable are the fenders, the markings on the wheels and the small covers of the headlight. In this way, the appearance of the Ducati Scrambler can be easily adapted to suit every taste. The three standard colors ('62 Yellow, Thrilling Black and Ducati Red) are joined by six other colors available as accessory kits, making the new Ducati Scrambler Icon appear in nine different color variants. Available colors include Rio Celeste, one of the brightest and most vibrant shades on the Ducati Scrambler color gamut, Jade Green, which is inspired by Jade and features a soft shimmer, or Velvet Red.

The Ducati Scrambler Icon features a revised handlebar, positioned lower and closer to the rider for better control of the bike. The seat has been redesigned, with an optimized and slimmer shape. The design of the new Icon generation is completed by black side panels under the seat with Ducati Scrambler graphics.

Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle

The Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle is the sportiest model in the range for 2023 and takes its inspiration from American flat track competitions on dirt track ovals. The side number plates bear the number 62 because 1962 was the year in which the first Ducati Scrambler was presented. The number plates stylistically match the model's alignment perfectly and combine with the skid plate for a rawer aesthetic. This model is aimed at those who do not want to go unnoticed.

The seating position also changes compared to the Icon version thanks to a handlebar with variable section and becomes more sporty.

Ducati Scrambler Nightshift

The most elegant model of the Ducati Scrambler family for 2023 is the Nightshift, characterized by more classic and refined details such as: B. the seat in a café racer style in a dark leather tone with visible stitching or the alternation between glossy and matt surfaces. Like the Full Throttle, the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift features side number plates, a shortened front fender, a tail without a rear fender, black finishes for the aesthetic aluminum details, and compact LED indicators*. The Nebula Blue paintwork and the now completely black spoked wheels give the Nightshift an extremely elegant appearance, which – like the previous generation of the same name – is rounded off by flat handlebars with a variable cross-section and handlebar-end mirrors, also in the café racer style.
