It now seems that the KTM brand is becoming increasingly popular with custom bike enthusiasts. Machines from Austrians are appearing more and more frequently on the internet, and they are professionally refined and converted by bike tuners. So it is with this KTM 390 Duke that we would like to introduce to you today, which is from an Indian bike tuner named Akash That, a graphic designer from Mumbai, and now serves a completely different segment than the original model, which is actually designed as a tourer. The scrambler conversion, which is strongly reminiscent of Triumph models, definitely causes a stir in traffic, and that's why we would like to explain the modifications of the model to you a little more closely.
Neo-classic with futuristic details.
At the front, the machine got a retrofitted one LED headlightswhich, together with the protective grille, is intended to underline the motorcycle's off-road ambitions. We also discover a tiny front one on the bike Fendermounted below the headlight and as Alibi apron serves. An absolute highlight of the motorcycle is of course the extreme Cubist designed tank, which with its rough edges creates a neo-futuristic look that comes close to that of a Tesla Cybertruck.
The silver color of the tank in particular gives the bike a futuristic look, which is underlined by the LED rear light, which is attached directly below the extremely short seat. Below the body, and placed directly next to the exhaust, there is a small one Fender on the back, which is supposed to protect the rear wheel from dirt in the field, but actually only serves for design purposes, since it has almost completely given up its function. Furthermore, the motorcycle was with 17-inch wheels which create a wiry effect, and on the rough off-road tires are mounted. the brake disc on the front wheel is also new, just like that wheel covers.
There is also a simple but effective one Retrofit exhaust on the bike, which doesn't want to put on the big show first, but fits seamlessly and harmoniously into the design of the machine. With a bike like this, you would also get a lot of attention on the road in Europe, and undoubtedly gain plus points at every biker meeting.
A 373 cc engine powers the machine.
The KTM 390 Duke is a recommendation for all bikers who are looking for an affordable yet agile entry-level motorcycle. With its 373 cc engine, which delivers 43,5 hp and 37 Newton meters of maximum torque, even a newcomer to the motorcycle segment can cope well. Due to its low weight of just once 149 kg the machine moves quickly even without tuning. Unfortunately, we do not know how much the bike we are introducing weighs, as we have no precise information on either its weight or its performance.
