Yamaha Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition 2023!

With its presentation in 2019, the Ténéré 700 caused a stir across Europe. Over 40.000 units sold speak for themselves. With its high-torque 690 cm³ CP2 engine paired with the robust chassis for road and off-road, the Ténéré is once again the ultimate motorcycle for explorers and adventurers. The Ténéré 700 Rally Edition and Ténéré 700 World Raid come with a number of premium upgrades that make them even better suited for use in difficult terrain.

Tenere 700 & 700 Rally Edition

The potential of this model series becomes clear when used at off-road events and extreme trips. World travelers Nick Sanders and Pol Tarrés, for example, trust in the Ténéré. He was the first rider to conquer the Erzbergrodeo with a two-cylinder and started the Africa Eco Race together with Alessandro Botturi. In 2023, the Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition come with a number of important upgrades and optimizations.

5 inch TFT display in World Raid style

Both the Ténéré 700 and the Ténéré 700 Rally Edition are equipped with a new 5 inch TFT display. This high-quality cockpit offers a choice of two display modes to suit different driving situations. In the "Explorer" display mode, the speed scale is shown enlarged so that it can always be seen when driving off-road. The "Street" display mode is a more traditional display with analogue-style round instruments. Both display modes offer a clear layout with easy-to-read indicators and icons.

Smartphone connectivity

The 2023 Ténéré models are equipped with a Communication Control Unit (CCU) and offer smartphone connectivity. To do this, the rider's smartphone must first be connected to the motorcycle via Bluetooth® via Yamaha's free MyRide app. As soon as the owner has paired his smartphone, he can see notifications of incoming calls, emails and text messages on the new 5 inch TFT display and call up important parameters of the motorcycle via the app.

With the appropriate configuration, the system also provides information about the technical status of the Ténéré. If desired, an email can be sent to a Yamaha partner or a contact person designated by the rider. The MyRide app also offers many other useful functions, e.g. B. monitoring of all important parameters of the bike, recording of route, distance covered, acceleration, maximum speed, lean angle and many other data. The information can be shared on social media and compared with other drivers.

New ABS modes

The previous model's ABS system offered a choice of ON or OFF modes. For 2023, both Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition are equipped with three-stage ABS. This improved system, already installed on the World Raid model, allows the ABS to be activated either on both wheels, activated only on the front wheel and deactivated on the rear wheel, or completely deactivated on both wheels.

Fully activated ABS is mandatory when driving on public roads. Front-only activated ABS is intended for use in moderate off-road driving, while fully deactivated ABS is intended for more extreme off-road driving.

Prepared for Quick Shift System

Ténéré 700 and Ténéré 700 Rally Edition are pre-wired for the installation of an optional Quick Shift system, available as a genuine Yamaha accessory.

Further changes

• Since even the best rider can lose grip off-road, the front brake lever has been redesigned to withstand a motorcycle tipping over unscathed. Other upgrades include LED turn signals and a new USB socket instead of the previous 12V socket.

Color and availability

The Ténéré 700 will be available in 2023 in the new colors Icon Blue and Tech Kamo. The Ténéré 700 Rally Edition is still available in Heritage White. The Ténéré 700 is expected to be available from February 2023, the Ténéré 700 Rally Edition will follow in March 2023.

Yamaha genuine accessories

• Yamaha has developed a wide range of genuine accessories that allow Ténéré riders to customize their adventure bike. The long list of special components includes an Akrapovič slip-on muffler, Öhlins suspension elements, lowering kit, Quick Shift System and many other accessories for improvement, but also specially composed accessory packages.

MyGarage app

• With the Yamaha MyGarage app, customers can quickly and easily configure a virtual version of their motorcycle with a large selection of original accessories on their smartphone or laptop. With the free app, you can add or remove accessories according to your taste until you have the perfect Ténéré configuration. The finished result can be viewed in 3D from all angles. The individually configured dream machine can be sent directly to the Yamaha partner of choice so that they can prepare the motorcycle accordingly.
