A good 90% of everyone who wants to tune their car comes up with the idea of installing a new set of alloy wheels. Even before an increase in performance by means of chip tuning or lowering, new aluminum rims are statistically the most popular tuning utensil. Understandable because the standard rims are often not necessarily ugly but very much trimmed to mainstream optics and of course not very individual. What could be more obvious than looking around on the shelf of mbDESIGN GmbH & Co. KG to see if there is a fancy alternative to the wheelset installed ex works? The owner of this Mercedes-Benz C-Class type W204 did just that and swapped the standard rims for a mbDESIGN LV1 wheel set in gold and the size of 20 inches. If you take a closer look at the rim selection from mbDesign, we will understand why!

mbDesign stands first and foremost for quality, there is also an appealing selection of different designs and as you can see there was something suitable for the C-Class. Of course we would like to show you the whole thing with pictures and have therefore decided to introduce the car to you. In addition to the visually appealing and well-fitting alloy wheels, the potent C-Class has received a few other modifications that we only know from the photos, unfortunately we have not yet had any technical information.

No matter the main focus of the car is clearly on the already mentioned LV1 Wheelset which, as already mentioned, certainly does not miss the standard rims and is an absolute asset to the W204. I think the car immediately looks more dynamic and sporty, which can never be wrong. We took a closer look at the car and made a few comparisons with the production version and were able to determine one or two changes to the aluminum. What we have learned directly from mbDESIGN GmbH & Co. KG and have recognized ourselves, we provide you in a summary as usual below. Should you notice any further changes, we would be happy if you post them in the "comment box", we will then add them to the post as soon as possible.

Ps. If you have more tuned vehicles such as this bright yellow Audi R8 or even one Audi RS4 B8 Avant want to see alloy wheels with mbDESIGN just click HERE!

  1. The vehicle is not a c63 AMG but a normal C-Class with a V6 engine! Are you actually looking at the cars before reporting on them? The braking system alone is too small to anchor an AMG!
The C63 AMG also has half-bucket seats and not, as in this case, seats with headrests!

  2. Hello Charlie,

Thank you for your note, we have of course adjusted the post accordingly! Your note with the brake system is correct and was unfortunately overlooked by us. As far as the seats are concerned, this is an indication, but it would just as well be possible that the owner simply exchanged them. We have already seen the craziest conversions where people have converted an E90 M3 so that it looked like a normal 3-series sedan. And with the full program, fenders without gills, bonnet without power dome and even the exhaust system was changed so that it only had 2 tailpipes on the left side. However, that someone will remove the brake system of the C63 AMG and replace it with a weaker one, from a V6 model, is rather unlikely 😀

    Thanks again
    MFG Tom
