The Abarth team fascinated us with the last known projects in the form of the Abarth 595 OT Race Car and the Abarth 124 Spider so that since then we have been looking around again and again to see if another vehicle has been locked. Today we found what we were looking for and would like to show you a preview of the 2016er 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione as sedan or convertible, for which the team has already published the most important innovations on its website. As far as the changes to the design or the technology are concerned, we have already set out to find out a few details for you and have also received one or the other information. Among other things, there is a 480 W BeatsAudioTM Hi-Fi system with seven speakers or an increase in performance up to 180PS. At this point we cannot promise whether we have captured every little detail. What we were able to find out based on the information from the tuner and have recognized ourselves in the pictures, we provide you in a summary as always below.
But since we also like to see the proverbial “forest for the trees”, it may well be that we did not notice a change that you immediately notice. These are the details:
- all changes affect the 2016 model year as well as sedan and convertible (available within three trim levels: 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione)
- three power levels
- Performance increase for the 1.4 T-Jet in the 595 and 595 Turismo to 145 PS (107 kW) and 206 Nm (152 lb-ft), 165 PS (121 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) and 180 PS
- 0-100 in 6,7 seconds
- Brake system with four-piston aluminum calipers (Brembo brake system)
- 595 Competizione with mechanical limited slip differential (Abarth DAM)
- Optionally for the Abarth 595 Competizione with manual transmission there are 17 inch Supersport rims, Sabelt leather / Alcantara seats with carbon shells, aluminum 595 emblems, red, white or black glossy look
- Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorbers for 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione, new front section with large air inlets, rear diffuser, polyelliptical headlights, LED daytime running lights, 17-inch Granturismo alloy wheels, extended exterior colors in Modena yellow, Abarth red, three-layer Iridato white , Scorpion Black / Podio Blue, Scorpione Black / Record Gray and Pista Gray / Abarth Red Bi-Color
- Extensive Alcantara and carbon details inside, optional Corsa variant with Sabelt leather and Alcantara, flattened steering wheel, racing instrument panel, Abarth connect system with two 5-inch and 7-inch HD screens, navigator and DAB digital radio as well as 480 W BeatsAudioTM Hi-Fi system seven speakers
