270 PS from 1,0 liter displacement! Polo WRC genes in everyday life

news from the manufacturer Volkswagen, the latest creation that Volkswagen presents to us is a 1,0 liter engine with 270 PS and 199 lb-ft of torque that should set the current benchmark in this class. We already know some technical data about the 1,0 liter engine. What we have learned we have listed below for you in a small summary.

These are the data we know about the 1,0 liter engine from VW:

  • 1,0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine (presented at the same time as the new twin-turbo 6,0-liter W12 TSI)
  • monoscroll turbocharger
  • E-Booster system
  • 270 PS
  • 199 lb-ft torque
  • Genes from the rally engine from the Polo WRC
