Back in February 2012, Audi presented the third RS4 generation and thus the direct successor to the RS4 B7 at the Geneva Motor Show. The RS4 top model is based on the A4 B8 and, like the B7, was equipped with a 4,2-liter V8 high-speed engine. However, the V8 has been significantly revised and now delivers a whopping 331 kW (450 hp) at 8250 rpm−1 and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. In contrast to the previous models with the popular 6-speed manual transmission, the RS4 B8 comes with the 7-speed dual clutch transmission as standard S tronic installed. As with the Audi RS5 comes the permanent four-wheel drive four including its crown gear differential as a center differential, replaces the Torsen differential. The advantage is that in addition to a delay-free distribution of drive torque and the noticeably lighter design with the new differential, up to 70% of the drive torque is directed to the front axle or a maximum of 85% to the rear axle. The result means 4,7 seconds in the sprint from 0-100 km / h and a top speed of electronically regulated 280 km / h (at an additional cost).

"Akrapovic Evolution Titan Exhaust System"

And just such a RS76.600 Avant, which costs at least € 4, was a guest at the tuner cartech.ch in Switzerland and got a few subtle changes. While this RS4 is on the standard 19 inch aluminum rims, it was ensured that they sit much more firmly in the wheel arch with the help of a KW coil spring kit. And a few optical retouches have been made and so, for example, all chrome parts are foiled matt black (roof rails, windows) and the radiator grille, apart from the Audi emblem, shines completely in black. And so you can also hear a V8 tinkering under the bonnet, the RS4 got a high-quality Akrapovic Evolution titanium sports exhaust system with tailpipes in carbon look that should definitely provide a breathtaking soundscape. Apart from the changes just mentioned, apparently nothing else has changed on the RS4, so we leave you alone with the pictures at this point. 🙂 If we do get some information about important changes, there is of course an update for this post. You will be informed about the update when you get ours Feed subscribe to. We hope you enjoy watching.

  • darkened / tinted windows
  • all chrome parts matt black (roof rails, windows)

  • possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
